Good MOrning L153R, the best advise I could give you; would be to wait till the line is upgraded before requesting to upgrade the data. This should make the transition a bit more seamless.

I would like to know what is the smoothest transition for ADSL line rental transfer? At the moment I have the data only package but now I also want to move the adsl rental to mweb. So who do I speak to first about the transfer? Continual connectivity is a priority and I would like to downtime to be as minimal as possible. Otherwise I dont think transferring will be optimal.

There shouldn't be any downtime in migrating your line to MWEB.
Please drop me a PM with your contact details and MWEB account info.
I would like to arrange for a consultant to contact you to explain the process to you.

if Mweb give me 2mb at R299 yeah Ill take that .then it still seems worth it , else they going to have a **** load users downgrading
I for one would rather go cheaper. 1 meg works fine 2 would be a bonus but only at the right price.

An attenuation of 63dB will definately cause instability when it comes to gaming and any other traffic.

We are giving our gaming traffic the highest priority on our network, so shaping is not really impacting on your gaming. Your line is really not ideal.

I think I will have to look at a HSDPA package just for gaming.

It has been like this from around 2008 its the copper length and even when I gave the line to a ISP it was never fixed.They have no control over the last bit.

I hoped that they would be able to fix or lower the attenuation

I have changed a setting on your account and you could change your username realm on your router to @dslmweb.co.za
