Good Afternoon, you should be able to check your line speeds on your router or you could ask me and I will check for you. Telkom hasn't provided much detail as to which area's would be upgraded and when.

Hi L153R

If you are an all inclusive customer you could check in the My Account control panel under the ADSL account information section as well.

The upgrades will run through out August till October sometime.
The best advice i can give you is to monitor your downstream stats.
Once that increases to 2Mb you should be able to see it reflect.
Currently you line is syning at 1019 kbps.

The price for our 4Mbps uncapped account will remain the same.

Busy trying to stream the Olympics over supersport.com to no avail, according to netmeter I'm barely getting 20kB/s. Have tried Firefox, chrome and in desperation IE, also tried a couple of youTube vids and they seem to be running ok if that helps...

All perfect here with streaming on 1 meg uncapped even with my downloads going :D

if i move my 1mbps line from telkom
and go with the bundle one for R339
will i pay that from next mounth
or will i still pay the R488 till the speed upgrade happens

and how long does the transfer of the line take?

cuz i am paying about R489now (data from mweb and line from telkom)
so i want to know of i will save some money by moving my line to mweb aswell

edit: even if the speed upgrade happen i will stay with 1mbps.dont have the exstra money for 2mbps :(

Hi sybertiger

Yes you will be paying R339 for the 1Mb all inclusive account from us.

The line migration from Telkom to MWEB can take up to 21 days to complete.

Please be aware that if you move your line from Telkom to us mid month then you will be paying Telkom and MWEB prorata for the time that you made use of the line with each company.

or now (the end)

edid,i read your post again
so i will pay like 1week of line from telkom
and the rest to mweb?
but will i pay more than normal?
