Yes they changed for the worse, I've just had bad speeds. Last time we chatted you said it could just be a wave and must wait it out. I've already tested the 1meg line speed and it didn't prove any better, it actually fell further to more of a 384k speeds.

As of this moment, I'm now getting around 70k but its not stable. The line is fine.

I'll wait out till Monday then decide to move or not. Will see how the speeds on the weekend go.

Good Morning soulravanger, Torrent speeds are not guaranteed and speeds will fluctuate depending on network load.

Please do keep me updated on what you decide and your experience during the course of this weekend.
 
Speeds have been extremely poor, You Tube, cannot watch any videos. There were a few Steam game updates last night, 1 game with an update of 150MB took 4 hours to download (this is with a 4MBs connection). I have set Steam to download from the CPT Mweb server. Restarted router, made no difference. Telkom says there is nothing wrong with the line. Router syncs at the correct speed, no line noise on line.

Speedtest download 0.91 upload 0.41

Hi, I'm having a really rough time doing anything this morning, especially downloads and games.

My line speed is 4mb

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4096 kbps 512 kbps
Line Attenuation 19 db 4 db
Noise Margin 22 db 14 db

Edit: Suddenly it has improved. Nothing at all changed my side so I'm still baffled - this slowdown seems to occur quite often lately. My new speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2266030954.png

By the way, could you please tell me if 2.56Mb/s is a good download speed for 4Mb?

Every night yeah, seems the pipe only gets opened slightly after like 1am or 2am these days .....
