Hi, i have a Belkin N300 router with a DSL line from telkom and an MWEB trial account.

I have a cable from my wall socket to my modem, no splitter or filter connected in between and there is no phone connected aswell.
I did the setup and on the modem page it says "internet:connected", i get an IP from my ISP and everything should be fine but i cant access any websites. not even local ones...

Any help/tip will be appreciated thank you.

I am disappointed with Mweb uncapped account,

I cant even dl torrent......... whereas AfrXXXX, i can get full download speed on the account.

I called Mweb, there is nothing he coulde've done.

Now i am stuck with this stupid 30day cancellation with Mweb... Sigh

Great lovely speeds with this, is it legal to use on Mwebs network?

Yes, download managers are allowed. They've been around from the 90s. And they're a good thing, because they allow file resume if something goes wrong, while the browser usually requires a restart = wasted b/w.

MiPony is actually quite nice as well.

Plays well with alot of quirky file hosters :D

Don't want to jinx it but my mweb account seems to be working again. International sites are working normally and downloads are going at normal speeds. Hope it stays this way

Even though 90% connectivity has been restored and its this late, torrents still won't work :(

EDIT: Seems to be working now.

Will torrents be working again once the original service is restored? Because torrents aren't working for me at the moment.

I don't think any "credit" should go to MWEB in this. They're only up and running again because SEACOM came through with alternative bandwidth.

Of course naspers did all the work  ;)
