Just got an Axxess trial account, torrents are running. Speeds are good.
Agreed. Although, the trial account is only 3gb which makes you wonder if it's unshaped? In which case, i wonder how good their shaped/uncapped service is.
I've already sent my cancellation letter through to mweb so it's time to start searching for a new isp. Just not sure where to go. Axxess, Openweb, or Afrihost.
I received two this morning. One from MWEB and another from Keno, who saw my post yesterday - thanks, Keno!
Here's a link to the form, for anyone else who needs it: http://www.2shared.com/document/hMz8UbaB/MWEB_Client_Services_Cancellat.html? (PDF)
What a shame you can't find this on the MWEB website...

Youtube worked before even when MWEb were running on 20% redundant capacity. Now Mweb are on 90% capacity and youtube vids don't work at all. I don't get that logic.
I can't last without 2 weeks of youtube while waiting for Seacom to get fixed.
The reason for this is because MWeb has introduced shaping. Seems to from today as yesterday youtube was fine.Same here and the one Twitch stream that I watched from a guy in Canada ran without problems when we barely had capacity and now even the page struggles to load![]()
and I always thought MWeb would never shape. If Seacom is running at 90% capacity then why the need to kill youtube completely? Something doesn't add up.We are not running at 100% capacity yet.Bear in mind shaping is in effect so priority will be given to browsing and emails.
Browsing is super slow atm....
I've had 0 speed issues since Seacom solved the congestion/got MWEB more bandwidth. I did reboot my router though.... maybe that'll help you okes?
Seems international browsing is very iffy...not consistent at all.
