Yup, still the same problem, still cant connect to the news server

I have once again tested and I am able to connect to and download from there without any hassles.

Hi flashfire

News server downloads are a best effort service and speeds are not guaranteed.

same, flying at 27 KB/s on a 4mb line, makes me wonder why im still with mweb, this is just stupid.

Good Evening, please do a little test for me.

I need you to change your username realm to @dsl512two.co.za and let me know if this helps.

Best I've gotten in the last 2 hours with nothing else running. Average has been around .2-.3, loving being with mweb again...

My news speeds are 19-25KBs. This is ridiculous.

Evening merge, I have reset your port.

Please change your username realm to @mweb.co.za, I would like to see if connecting with a new IP helps.

Evening, your usage for the day is not bad, you've moved 6gig already.

I will send you guest account details via private message for a comparative speed test result.

Hi MWEB Guy, it wouldn't connect with @mweb.co.za but I reset the router with the normal @dslmmweb.co.za and the mweb news server speed went up to 44KBs. Not great but at least not 22-23. On my other news server the speed went from 18KBs to 103. What was wrong?

Thanks for the feedback merge, sometimes connecting with a new IP address resolves the problem.

Let me know if you encounter the problem again.

changed to @mweb and only a marginal increase in speed to around 1/3 line speed on the news server.

In all honesty , has the shaping policy on the news server changed ? Part of the reason im with mweb and paying the premuim was that i got decent newsserver speeds during office hours (which i can understand) and almost full speed at night.

Seems to have gone downhill since the introduction of the basic uncapped options

Hi MWEB Guy,

Last night to asked my to change my login realm from dslmweb.co.za to mweb.co.za.

I'm still using mweb.co.za, does it matter which one I use long term?

Good Evening, you should be able to leave it at what it currently is.

Can't stream Twitch.tv. Very choppy. Have noticed erratic browsing throughout the day since a day or two ago.
