Can't stream Twitch.tv. Very choppy. Have noticed erratic browsing throughout the day since a day or two ago.

Good Evening PostmanPot, please provide me trace routes to mweb.co.za and bbc.co.uk

The trace route results seem normal.

How many active connections are currently on your network? Are you connected wirelessly or via cable?

What are you actual download speeds via Steam at the moment and what are you downloading at the moment?

Struggling at 360p when it's usually flawless.

Not downloading anything.

Note I'm streaming, not steaming. :D

*edit*

Sorry.

About 4, but no throughput on other computers/devices.

Cable.

Speedtest is also fine.

Not working at 360p (1Mbit account).

Sanctum 2 and Anomoly 2, both games were released today, speed fluctuates from 0kb to 250kb/s. Log onto Afrihost, 400kb/s continuous speed. Downloading from Mweb CPT Steam Server.

Speedtest still shows very good speeds like it did last night.

Thanks for the feedback, it may still be fetching the data internationally.

It takes a while for the new releases to cache locally

can we test with only one PC connected to the router via cable (testing purposes).

Also ensure that there are no wireless devices connecting.

:(

I assure you only my PC and phone are connected.

Could you please just reauthenticate my account? If that fails I'll leave it until tomorrow.

I have now re-authenticated your account

So I got my 1Mb uncapped premium line today and well, it's not really super great.

HTTP downloads during the day peaked at about 78kbps and now during the evening it hovers around 60kbps. Speedtests look fine. Tried a torrent for testing, doesn't work anyway.

Would post a trace but it all looks like this (strangely enough it looks normal with 8ta going through the same router).

Code:
Tracing route to [url]www.mweb.co.za[/url] [196.2.63.110]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1 <1 ms 3 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
  2 * * * Request timed out.
  3 * * * Request timed out.
  4 * * * Request timed out.
  5 * * * Request timed out.
  6 * * * Request timed out.
  7 10 ms 11 ms 10 ms [url]www.mweb.co.za[/url] [196.2.63.110]

No other pc's on the network. Connected via cable directly to router.

Something is definitely different this week, I keep hearing from random people (at a undisclosed site :P ) that mweb's news server is positively crawling for them, atm I can achieve a glorious 10KBps on both old and new articles. Torrents are about the same if I switch to them. As for youtube, unless you have at least 80% linespeed it's a horrendous experience but that's probably got more to do with their new genius method of caching on a server instead of the viewers pc. Atm I still have to sometimes reload the page because a vid looses speed and permantnely freezes.

Good evening, please provide me your mweb account details via private message.

Are you completing the tracer via command prompt?

Good evening rambo919, I have recreated your port and re-authenticated your account.

Please also change your username realm to @mweb.co.za

Your usage is on par with what you did last month...

I'm also getting horrible speeds tonight. Was OK this morning, not sure what the problem is.
