MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Upgraded from 1Mbps to 2Mbps : The upgrade process was smooth and so-far-so-good on the network service (thumbsup)

How did you handle the upgrade on MWEB's side?

I phoned in but they told me they need it in writing - seems somewhat archaic. Oh, and my router is syncing at 2048 now, just my account is still the 1MBit at R488 p/month.

Hi zamrg

Please provide me with your MWEB account details and I'll assist with your upgrade ASAP.

Oh thanks. I wasn't really complaining or anything. I just thought this type of stuff could be done in a control panel or over the phone.

I've sent a PM to you with details.

Don't suppose anyone knows of any issues/congestion in Bellville area (021910...)?

The 4mb uncapped here is doing round half what it could/should... peaking at about 190-210kbps.

Tested with an Axxess account quickly and it seemed OK, peaked at +-350-380kbps.

Tracert looks good too. 7 hops to mweb.co.za, 13-15 to intl.

Good Afternoon Flidiot, please send me your MWEB account details via private message and I will look into this for you.

The only outages in Cape Town we are aware of, can be found in the following area's: 021 - 573, 577

Can't stream in Cape Town. Even Grooveshark is lagging.

Good Afternoon PostmanPot, your line readings seem fine at the moment. I picked up that you have two active connections on your account though. I am going to drop your connections and the let me know if it improved your experience.

Please reboot your router.

Yep, speed in Cape Town has been very poor today.

Good Afternoon pmurgs, please reboot your router for a little while (a minute should be fine). I have re-authed your account.

Don't know if right location, can anyone comment on the gaming speeds of the 2MB account from Mweb? Specifically to EU servers, like for WoW/GW2 etc?

Got @mweb in the router and @dslmweb on the desktops. Still having problems but haven't rebooted yet, will do so now.

No change. @mweb and @dslmweb are just as bad. MyBb/Fb/FNB/Speedtest taking longer to load, streaming at 360p lagging. Ty for help though.

I am still picking up two connections on your account. How is your network configured.

Hi Mweb Guy

My browsing speeds on all sites is extremely slow. Cant look at pics on FB and Twitter even times out. Streaming seems fine. Also will check gaming and let you know how that is.

Thanks

Good Evening Bar_Rat, I cannot pick up any problems on your line or your account at the moment. I have re-authed your account. Please also change your username realm within your router to @dslmweb.co.za

Ye I'm getting major speed and latency issues here, sites, streaming and gaming, it's all gone to pot in the last 30mins or so.

Btw - your gaming guys are slack apart from 1 or 2. Getting 18% packet loss in a game after saying over a week ago that it was happening is NOT acceptable.
