MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Status
Not open for further replies.
I have received feedback that this outage has been resolved and our engineers are monitoring.

Please reboot your routers and let me know if it has improved or not.

At the moment I'm struggling to load local and international sites. This is after I've reset the router, so I'm thinking the issue hasn't been resolved. Downloads are really slow and I'm getting disconnected from games using hamachi.

Thank you for the update.

I have once again confirmed and the outage is resolved.

Provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.

speedtests are fine at max speed. the rest is so slow it would be faster if I just fart out the bits directly into my router.

I have tested and your line and account looks fine to me.

Provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.

Bandwith feels off today. Getting almost max speeds and perfect ping yet streaming videos on youtube has been terrible.

I have reauthed your account now, allow 30 minutes then restart your router and test.

Is there anyway you could reauth my account Mweb Guy? Im really running out of options to get things working here.

Sigh, and again we have issues ........ seriously degraded service is getting on my nerves.

Mweb is the first one, AH the second ..... spot the difference

i'm in Ballito and i am suffering as well too. keep getting disconnected from SWTOR, but unfortunately, i can't report it to Mweb as i don't have a direct account with them.

yeah, YouTube is dead in the water too ...... pathetic, pathetic, pathetic service.

Seems to have gone better at around 10pm last night. Thanks for offering to help Mweb Guy ;)

I must confess, I was just upset cause Top Gear didn't finish downloading and had to watch one of my wife's shows with her. Understandably you had to shape that traffic due to the outage so I'm cool with it.

Hi Handz,

As requested, I have reauthed the account for you.
I also tried to recreate your port but was not able to.
Please could you power down the router for 5mins and let me know if your connection has improved.

It eventually came right about an hour or so later but these issues are getting frequent and the worst part is, you guys are never aware of problems, even when dozens of people on just one forum are posting otherwise. Today, I have the pleasure of the news server not working whatsoever ....... it could start working 20 mins from now or it could stay dead the whole day. The point is, way too many issues and it's driving people away, even the fiercely loyal.

Edit - it connected now ....... after an hour and 10 mins of trying to connect. The network is broken, no jokes.

Maybe Mweb can also clarify why gaming gets shaped during the day? Is the line about prioritizing gaming just a hook to get gamers or what? Every damn day, after 8am, count on 60-80 extra ping getting tacked on.

Done within a minute of each other ..... so pray tell, what issue is Mweb unaware of now  And please, no congested exchange because of 2nd hop ..... it's no issue when using AH.
