I'm quite pissed at Mweb currently. My Account got canceled without warning. Allegedly it's abuse, but they can't tell me how much I have used. :confused:
Anyways, it was a 1Mbps Uncapped account, and I am a very heavy internet user.
The Mweb helpdesk is completely clueless. I was shuffled from sales to technical the whole time. Finally went to the Mweb shop @ Cresta. The Oke there at least mentioned that they consider their uncapped accounts abused if you use more than 60Gb a month. That is not uncapped then. a 1Mbps Uncapped account should do around 360Gb a month :twisted:

Anyways ... end of the month, I'm going with Telkom. Bye Bye Mweb!

Hi spiderz

It is strange that you have not been notified that your account would be cancelled.

Before we cancel any accounts for abuse, we send customers 3 warnings.

Also I am not sure where the guys at the Cresta store got that figure from.

Send me what your MWEB details are and let me have a look into this for you.

Gosh how many pm's does mweb guy get in a day :0 but anyway just waiting for my mtn uncapped lite contract to get approved by mweb then I can pm my details so mweb guy can give mtn hell if something is wrong :D . really hope I don't have to
 
Is it just me or is NNTP totally dead at the moment?

not able to dl anything from news servers

EDIT: Back up and running but again at 1mb speeds not my usual 2mb speeds. Sigh

We are not having any trouble with our news server currently.
 
It's been real Mweb, I bid them fair well come end of April, sending cancellation in tomorrow of all my services,

NNTP never works anymore, 4meg account throttled to 1meg.

Just had a call from Mweb Business, they recreated my account, switched my speed profile and disabled protected access.

Now it's back to 100% very very strange....... :wtf: could this not have been done on Saturday??

Thanks for the feedback Hummercellc, Saturday we were still compiling information for our network team to look at.

I would like to see if connecting with a new IP makes any difference.

Just in a game right now. Will try it later and let you know. I think its just a few crappy downloads since 1 has failed already.
