MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Hi Mweb Guy

I sent an email last week sometime requesting the cancellation forms from your cancellations department and they keep sending me mail saying that I need to fill in the cancellation form to complete my cancellation request.
I did not ask for them to start cancelling my account at all yet now they have proceeded in doing that.
I have since changed my account to a 1gb capped account so that I can keep my account open but now i cannot log onto my mweb account because it says my account isn't registered with mweb.

How do i see what i need to pay for this month now?

What is wrong with you accounts department?

Edit: Finally got onto the account. They changed the account to a 1gb account. Still not sure why they proceeding with cancellations though.

Browsing has been inconsistent since seacom went down, but downloads including p2p has been back to normal the last week.

Have you rebooted the router yet? Do a ping and traceroute to a local and international site and let me know what the results are.
 
I don't understand why my connection is so **** at night but early morning it fine. Google, Youtube and other streaming sites like Twitch lags and I even get connection issues while gaming.

This sounds like a congested exchanged. Please can you do a ping and traceroute test to a local and international site in the morning when things are fine and at night when it starts acting up.

Send it to me so that I can have a look.
 
Are these results good or bad? Seemed sluggish earlier this morning, better now.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I checked the account and can see the package was cancelled at the end of March. There is 1 that was downgraded as well as you have mentioned. The information you received is correct, billing is done in advanced. I will follow up on when the April invoice will be reversed.

I will look into why no one has called you back as well as you mentioned. I'm not sure why you were given the information that someone will contact you within a week.

W/e is happening to me started after you got "100% capacity", I had no problems with YouTube and streaming after the cable break but browsing and downloads went down a bit and now its the total opposite except for Google services which was bad then and still is . Hopefully when Seacom fixes their cables I'll be back to normal.

I'll do a traceroute/ping at around 2 am tonight and post it here.
 
p2p speeds during the day is terrible on my 1mb uncapped line. Getting 40 Kbps max then I get full speed at like midnight and slows down again in the morning. Before the whole seacom outage, I was getting full speed consistently.
 
Consistent +300 ping in DDO now, before the Seacom outage it was 280 odd, then on backup capacity it was down to 240 odd. Mweb is always crowing about how gaming is prioritized, how about getting us back those 240 pings instead of this 300+ rubbish.
 
40KBps? Count yourself lucky, I'm stuck at 10. Last week things were fine but mayby 09:00-10:00 monday morning speed almost died.

Cancelled my Mweb contract. So sick of getting around 100kb/s in the day. Sure, I VPN around the problem but it's annoying. Time to start researching who my next ISP will be...
 
My speeds are also pathetic. Used to get full speed on my 1MB MWEB uncapped premium account, I change my router settings to my AFRIHOST account and my internet flies. Also, speedtest.net is rigged IMHO Not happy.:sick:
 
Hi MWEB Guy, it's been two days since I was told someone would call me back about the R539 MWEB have stolen from my bank account. What is happening about this?
