Thanks guys. Clearly it's on MWEBs side that has speed issues, since the traffic is flying on full speed on the FNB account.

Mweb need to up their game here.

Speedtest shows fantastic results, everything full speed, but even basic browsing is slow. The latest set of Windows updates take forever to download. Telkom smsed me to tell me my line if fine, so what is the problem. Last time Mweb blamed my Telkom line??

Good evening PurSpyk!!, your account show's that your connection dropped 8 times today. Did you physically drop the connection?

Also please provide me your speed test results.

having same problem. I can't connect to mweb's news server and my torrents are dead although it's seeded.

Evening Wall, have you tried connecting to the MWEB news server using the IP?

Just browsing international sites, no downloads tried. But it varies, sometimes it's a little better.

Please send me your MWEB account details via private message.

Also include trace routes and pings to bbc.co.uk

Switched back to the Mweb account.. Only getting about 190KB/s. on FNB it's around 800 to 1000KB/s

Evening, I can see two separate connections on your account at the moment. How many active connections are there on your network?

torrents dead and international browsing sluggish. pages load very inconsistently.

Especially Crackberry.com and their forums.

Youtube also buffering heavy

Evening Tjoker, please change your username realm on your router to @dslmweb.co.za and let me know if that helps

The speed test results are really good.

Are you having speed issues browsing all websites?

Speedtest always shows good results, but browsing and general downloads are very slow. Now Steam refuses to log on, saying there is no connection. Nvidia drivers download at 20-50kb/s, used to download at 400kb/s. Windows updates are slow. This is not a premium service.

Can you perhaps try something for me, you are connecting with the same IP as yesterday.

Please change your username realm to @dsl512two.co.za and let me know if this helps. This should force a new IP connection.

I think I am on the same IP as yesterday, but with the various disconnects I am not sure. Will make the changes to the router and let you know.

Ok changed details, IP address did change but still on 197.x.x.x. Downloads from Nvidia seem to be limited to 150kb/s? Which is better than before but not the speed it should be.

Speedtest with this change:

Hi there,

Checked my router. Noticed it not in bridge mode anymore. Changed it back to bridge. Should now only show 1 connection, hopefully.

However, speeds is still the same. Dropped my PPPOE and reconnected and still the same. FNB account still running much faster than the Mweb one. - 177.5 KB/s on MWEB, FNB ran via international new server 700+KB/s.

Thnx for the headsup on the second connection. Was surprised that it allowed a second connection.
