MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

So you're saying that you cannot provide the actual IP addresses of MWEB DNS servers?

I need a way to force my PC to use those servers because right now what's happening is that it's just using the DNS server specified in the router, which isn't what I want.
 
Usenet speeds are useless again. This is not the service I signed up for. Do I need to reset my connection daily or something?

We do not provide different DNS's numbers out to customers as it is assigned automatically.
 
Is it just me... Nzb's downloading at 15kbs.... For the last few days now.
 
I am fed up to the back teeth with mweb - slow is not the word I do try and make use of P2P downloads but certainly don't do this excessively!! I have been away for 3 weeks & needed to catch up on some shows I had missed & the internet is DEAD when I try & browse if I download anything I can't - it keeps saying no internet access as well - what can I do???? really thinking very seriously about cancelling & moving on!!!

This is what they told me...

"Hi, when it comes to NZB's, p2p, torrents etc these services on our Network receives the lowest priority"

And when i said its strange because its never this bad....

"It won't be strange because we never guaranteed any sort of speed for these services."

So dont expect any help.
 
Sorry Mweb, I signed up for an uncapped account with Afrihost today and my connection is flying. Will see how it goes for the rest of the week, but think I'll be cancelling soon. Your speeds has just got worse and worse.

Just move to a better ISP. I'm done with MWEB. It used to be awesome :(
 
I cancelled with MWEB last month. This month was my 'notice' month (just one more of those little things I can't fathom ... if a customer wants to leave, let them leave; don't snag the3m for another month just because you can).

Anyway, got the call from some desperate sounding person at MWEB about an hour ago wanting to know why we cancelled. My reaction was a "are you kidding" moment for me.

He did mention to me that MWEB is loosing customers "like flies" (his words). Gee, I wonder why.

Good Day any14, I do not believe that any of our staff members would make a statement like that; as it is not true. Please provide me the persons name and your account details. I will then look into this from my side.

Why? He already cancelled now you want to harass your own employee for telling the truth?

Eish, someone is getting fired if they pull the call logs for that one!
Guess they will drop him like a fly xD
