I've stopped all downloads (http, torrent, etc) which were only going at about 10kbps all in all anyway.
General browsing is still slow as hell, and getting timeouts left right centre.... :(

The ones I did earlier for simfy and bitly also only went to tengig0-0-0.vic-pr-1.mweb.co.za [197.80.4.141] and from there timed out.

Downloads slow as hell.
Some sites not loading (already checked, the sites I'm trying to access are not offline.)
Simple google searches take forever to load.

What the hell is going on. Everything is getting slower and slower. And from what I'm seeing on the forum it isn't just me.

Hi, usually when we see such high jumps early on in the trace route (hop 2) it points to something closer to your side or possibly even the line.

Getting the same packet loss lag in LoL I was getting about a month ago. Happens out of nowhere. honestly Mweb, this is getting a bit much.

Hi,

I am getting the following pop3 error:

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR Cannot connect to POP server 196.28.76.80 (196.28.76.80:995), NB connect error 1460

Any other pop3 settings I can try.

P.S. This is a mWeb hosted domain email I am trying to setup.

Phoned Support and they refreshed the account. That solved thw problem.

What does that mean?

And why would it be that it's fine on certain nights and other nights it's not?

Agreed this is getting a bit much. I have been a happy customer generally, but this is starting to get a bit ridiculous.

There does seem to be alot of packet loss every now and then.

I can't access lazygamer.net and supersport streaming keeps on buffering.

Hi MWG,

Thanks - I am synced at 3mb/s since my noise levels/attenuation only allows for that as per Telkom (although not sure they're right as at one stage I was on 10mb/s with no hassles. Seems there is a fair amount of packet loss though. This started roughly 4 days ago. I will call Telkom again though to figure out whether the line can be synced at 4mb/s. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi MWG,

My connection has been horrific today, dropping every so often. The line is fine, verified with Telkom 4 times now over the last few days (today being the latest), but my connection to Mweb drops every so often. Like many people above, I am experiencing packet loss and occasional high hops on tracerts.

Hi, please see the PM I sent you.

In the evenings I keep getting throttled by either Mweb or Telkom is there nothing I can do to stop this... I'm paying for a 4mb premium mweb account, My line is currently only 2mb and hopefully will be upgraded to 4mb this week or next.

but if this continues I'm going to have to cancel my account...

Hi Wolfy, good to hear that it is back to normal.

I dunno, its acting all weird.. my videos dont quite buffer and everything just downloads like 1 mb then stops.... Any idea what could be causing this?
