MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Still taking absolute ages to load any international page ...... I can sort of get the downloading thing, even if I don't agree with 20kbps but to mess with browsing and gaming is a slap in the face.
 
Impact: Due to a SAT3 cable fault, customers may experience degraded services to international destinations. We will provide an update with an ETA for resolution as soon as possible.

apparently sat 3 is down.
 
What I don't understand is how mweb cannot know this?
How is their network not able to let them know?
I am sorry it's not mweb guys fault but I have just had enough.
I signed up with openweb 10mb for same money.
I get around 7-8mb now.
Mweb I supported you for a long time.
Price vs quality just isn't there anymore.

Final month of lies with mweb. Thank god: Since Rudy left its gone to ****.
 
Still no update on the issue. Surprised that mybroadband hasn't posted anything about the SAT3 yet. Can definitely see a major speed drop on torrents, downloads, gaming, browsing, steam, etc. Just hoping it doesn't take forever to be fixed like last time.

Our Network does not use SAT3. Can you please advise where you got this information from?

Read a few posts back. OK, so your network does not use SAT3, then what was wrong? Cause nobody at MWEB sees to have any clue as to what went wrong, and something did went wrong.
 
Don't know if its a wide area thing, but this morning my speeds were still messed up. When I went into my router statistics, attainable speed as well as up and down speed was about half what it should be. After a reset the statistics are correct again. You guys might want to try a router reset and see if it changes anything.
 
Logged in on my alternative Telkom account, can download etc at full tilt. Switch back to MWEB and it all comes to a grinding halt. Problem still persists. MWEB?

What downloads are you referring to?
 
HTTP download speeds are back to normal more or less but torrents are being shaped so much. I'm getting a mere 10Kb/s still and I can get 80Kb/s on another account. MWEB Guy?
 
Mwebguy can you check if the person I talked to before the call dropped finished logging the fault on my line?
 
im getting bad ping in games, usually i get 18-21 ping in cs:go. but now i get 40+ ping spikes. and my torrents are like a graveyard.
i got 1mb - pta : centurion
