MWEB guy, youtube is still terrible for me as eluded to yesterday.
Dunno if its youtube itself, telkom or on your side.

Once it buffers it takes forever to start downloading again, rinse and repeat.

Evening, which resolution are you watching the video's?

Can you also enable hardware acceleration: right click on the video and select options.
 
Hi

I watch most stuff at 480p, 720p, HE is enabled. Buffers itself to death.

Vimeo on the other hand immediately starts to stream the vids in HD at 350-400K+, youtube stutter stutter at 0-50k, occasional bursts to (very limited) 200k or so. (4mb line)

Are you only having trouble with YouTube? Is all the other traffic fine?
 
Of late, everything is fine :) , but youtube seems throttled beyond use, for me at least in the evenings.

We do prioritise YouTube traffic, can you perhaps continue testing and let me know if it improves through the course of this evening.

At the moment, I don't have anyone else complaining about youTube

I thought its just congestion, but then vimeo running fine.

mweb running nice deal sign up any adsl account except 1gb account , so cheapest is 5gb for R79 and get netgear n150 for free.

so will i pay them 3months and get new router :P

this is not a contract deal
 
Hi, a number of my friends aswell as myself are with Mweb and have been experiencing high latency while playing League of Legends. From a stable 180-200 latency that it always used to be it has risen above 800 in the late afternoons and over weekends. The game has become unplayable and other internet use has also slowed consideribly. This has been ongoing for abount a month, and we have been waiting to see if it will be resolved, but despite the recent post about it being fine, it still hasn't returned to its original quality.

Why do I have to wait 5 mins to watch a 3 min video on Youtube (Andriod Tablet Wifi, not on HD)or even on my PC.

Sigh can't even watch Youtube anymore.
