You can migrate your line at anytime, the trouble is that it can take up to 21 days to migrate.
So you will more than likely have to pay Telkom and MWEB prorata for the use of the line.

With Telkom's latest 180... what's going to happen to the 384 account packages? Will we still have to wait till someone somewhere decides to upgrade us 2+ months away or will we at least get a price cut?

If you line is a 384 and your account is a 1Mb account unfortunate you will only be able to sync at 384 as your line is not capable of syncing at a higher speed. Irrespective of what account you have.

I fyou sign up for a 1Mb account with us then as soon as Telkom upgrades your line you will be able to make use of the 1Mb account properly.

In effect it is still a 384 account for now, it just get's called 1MB. Your double-speak will not convince me but I suppose I have no choice in the matter.

At least the shaping has relaxed a bit. Still do not get full speed all the time but much better than the beginning of the year.

Hi Mweb Guy, if i decide to move my adsl line to Mweb, what will happen, how do i go about doing this and will my adsl service be affected?

You will have to request us to move your line to us and we will take it from there. It takes up to 21 days for the migration to be processed. There should be no disconnection of your adsl.
 
Anyone else having terrible speeds tonight? Can't play DOTA2 at the moment. General browsing also seems a bit slow, just me?
 
And just so i have all the details, if i ever choose to move my line back, can i do this during the cancellation period, or will i only be able to do this after the cancellation period?

We are not experiencing any trouble in your area, provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.
 
Hey MWEB Guy :)

I want to have my ADSL line upgraded to 1MB asap, what must I do in order to make it happen? I don't want to wait for more than 2 months for Telkom to upgrade it.
 
Interesting, saw an unknown connection on my router, not sure if it one of my wireless devices, in any case, cahnged my passwords, seems to be flying again, will keep you updated, but it seems to be sorted

HI DarkSpectre

Telkoms are only ones who will be able to do the upgrades for the line from 1Mb to 2Mb.
