MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

MWEB Uncapped a bit sketchy in Cape Town, or just me?

Same issue, been slow since the start of the month, getting 1Mbps instead of 4Mbps. Mweb claims there are no issues. Telkom are busy investigating, but seems to be taking forever. Not happy as I am not getting what I am paying for.

Mwebguy why the fudge is my adsl stuck on a 384kb speed since i migrated to you guys??? Its pathetic nobody at your company is able to help me.

Hi Wolfy

Before you migrated to MWEB, what ADSL line speed were you on with Telkom?

Hi PurSpyk!!

I had a look into your account and see that you were dealing with a Technical specialist, who done some test and with the Telkom guest account, where the Telkom guest account gives you slower speeds.

In the morning you get just over 3.3Mbps. He advised that you get hold of Telkom.

What has Telkom done so far regarding your ADSL line issues?

I have logged a fault report, but Telkom have done nothing yet, they have now supposidly escallated the fault. My issue is I will be doing beta testing starting tomorrow, and need to download a lot of data, 5-10GB, and at my current speeds I will not have the data down in time to do the test.

My current speed is 0.44Mbps, on a 4Mbps line??

4MB ADSL synced @ a 2.8MB line, so I decided to take your "R600 2MB package(includes ADSL rental)" instead. I so regret migrating to your guys, they said everything is sorted out and even sent me an sms saying the migration has been sorted, but never was >:(

You guys are just like.. "Oh I see.." the whole freaking time!

I had to call Telkom myself asking them to upgrade me to a 1MB package.. Great service huh???

Edit: I even requested that I wanted to cancel my migrated line and just move it back to Telkom. And no one ever even came back to me about that either.

Could you pull your strings to see if anything will be done about my migration, other wise im going to just cancel the whole process.

You realise that there are no 2Mb lines yet and it will actually be a 1Mb line until Telkom upgrades it to 2Mb, right? But yes, weird that you say you've got a 384 line atm.

Hi PurSpyk!!

Best you start pressuring them to get your ADSL line fixed.

Yes I am aware of the 2mb lines not being available yet, so Mweb suggested that they'll put me on a 1MB package for the mean time, screwing EVERTHING UP putting me on a 384kb line instead Whoopi do! Takes FOREVER for a page to load thanks to this massive balls up.

Hi Wolfy

The upto 2MB product is available: http://ow.ly/cVENH as we are preparing for the completion of Telkom's upgrades, see following link: http://bit.ly/LpKOFS (Telkom has not yet done the 2MB upgrades)

I also see an agent explained in detail before sign up, which product you'll be on until the time Telkom does the upgrades.

I will add your latest posts onto your open fault, related to your speeds you queried. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it for you.

... But the 1Mb package atm will sync at 384 because 384 is due for upgrade to 1Mb during August and September. (just saying). So that said, they should have put you on the 2Mb all inclusive for now which should then upgrade from 1Mb to 2Mb this month or next.

FYI majority of the complex I live in has 1MB ADSL lines already installed, so I dont see why there needs to be upgrades.

I just think Mweb should button up and tell people straight before saying stuff like "umm sir your line was on a 385kb on our systems after the migrations but we have rectified the problem and your line is on a 1MB speed now".. I even asked are you sure its on a 1MB now and the guy said.. YES SIR! Getting home to still be on a 384kb.. WTF!

Any time. All fine here. No stutter/buffering @ 360p. This is on 4Mbps though. But stream doesn't use more than around 80kB/s so should be fine on 1Mbps, methinks.

Usually is hundreds, just did a Malwarebytes scan and found one infiltration. Earlier a reboot fixed the issue (although I rebooted PC and router) so I'll try single out what's solving the issue.
