MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

I am still picking up two connections on your account. How is your network configured.

Router in half bridge mode (dials PPPOE and allows dial-up ADSL
accs) with @mweb - PCs auto connect to this as well as wireless devices

PCs setup with various dial-up accs including @dslmweb which I use most of the time, as well as to easily test between @mweb and @dslmweb.

Eg if @dslmweb is slow I simply disconnect from the dialed connection and automatically revert to @mweb PPPOE and vice versa.

I'm AFK now but will test again later, hopefully it's fixed soon. :)

Good Evening Mephisto_Helix, are you having any problems with browsing, streaming or gaming at the moment? Also please provide me the links to the speed test you have completed

nevermind. lol. Seems ok now. Guess I just needed to wait a bit :D

Good Afternoon Flidiot, please send me your MWEB account details via private message and I will look into this for you.

The only outages in Cape Town we are aware of, can be found in the following area's: 021 - 573, 577

Thanks MWEB Guy, but it seems OK now again :) was more than likely exchange issues. Was just quite odd that an Axxess account was running a little bit faster, might have been pure luck though. Just re-tested with both the Axxess and MWeb accounts and MWeb knocked it out of the park, in terms of speed... So I am happy.

Edit: Did a quick speedtest...
Test conducted on Mon Sep 10 2012 19:17:56 GMT+0200 (South Africa Standard Time)

Download Speed: 935 kbps (116.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 394 kbps (49.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 84 ms

Like I said, I am happy :)

Having an issue with latency here. Usually I get around 165-195ms latency in WoW, tonight it's over 500ms at times with random massive spikes.

Just musing, but surely the fact of the 1mbps - 2mbps upgrades must have decreased the available 'pool' of MWEB bandwidth to some degree?

Cant stream from Own3d.tv or Twitch.tv at 360p or 240p for that matter.
Downloads wont go above 90kb/s on a 2mb line/data account.
Trying to play League of Legends but it is too laggy.

Please fix this MWeb. Also in Cape Town and its been like this since this morning.

Good Evening Guys,

Our engineers have investigated the reports of slow speeds in Cape Town this afternoon. They have picked up an issue on the Cape Town traffic manager, which should be resolved shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

My 1meg line is poked. I am getting 6kb-20kb speed on a clearOS iso download. Cant play HoN either. Called the call centre and they said everything is fine. Switched to afrihost and played Hon/tested the clearOS download - no Issues wioth that account so it must have something to do with mweb??

Any help #MWEB Guy?

EDIT: This must be it. Any ETA?

Only browsing is terrible slow for me.

Please provide me the tracers to the websites you are having trouble with. Also have you tried clearing your cookies and cache or another browser as yet?
