Hi Forsaken

If there's a network issue in the area then it's possible that the reasons for you speeds being so low is as a result of it.
It could be an exchange which is congested but I cannot confirm if it is indeed.

Drop me a PM with you account info and I'll check out the account for you.

Hi MWEB Guy can you please check if there's a fault on my line because i got home from work today and internet was off again and when i got it working again it was running at 10KB/s on a 1mb line

MWEB Guy. I have an uncapped 2mbps account. Download sppeds are good but video streaming eg youtube is very intermittent and unsatisfactory. Please help.

same prob here
and just normal browsering seems slower than normal

1mbps data
2mbps line

Hi MWEB Guy

Someone tried to contact us this afternoon about moving the line. Unfortunately yesterday we had power problems until 8 pm thats why u most likely got about 80 disconnects :( our luck just keeps getting better and better doesnt it??

Hi MWEB Guy
With all the peeps experiencing problems, just thought I'd let you know that my adsl has been pretty much bliss for months.

Got 1mb account instead of old 384 uncapped. Now news server downloads still go at 25-30kb/s, which at 384k went at 40kbs....
Really now Mweb, call your accounts 1mb and have a download speed of less than 384?

International speeds on Mweb is half of what it should be again. What is it with this 200KB/s limit?

Any one else having connectivity issues to news.mweb.co.za?

I gave MWeb the thumbs up in a thread a few hours ago but may have jumped the gun a bit. NNTP has been shaped heavily the past few days and web sites are at half speed. Last night I was getting 40-60 kbps on a 2mb line. Tonight that is sitting at 30 kbps ave. Web sites are loading at between 60-110 kbps. Youtube fluctuates between 80-110kbps and times out to 0kbps sometimes. Been using my Telkom account to avoid tearing my hair out refreshing websites that don't load completely and have to be refreshed. The strangest part is Speedtest here tells a different story. Says I have 212kbps download ave. The rest of the internet says differently. My Telkom account is full speed everywhere - so not an exchange or line problem. Hope this comes right soon.

Once again, increased latency, 60-80 above normal, international. Why does this keep happening. Other accounts are fine, again. Pingtest and Tracert wise, just go back a few pages, it's exactly the same crap.

Hi DieGrasMan

Please provide me with a speed test and a HTTP download speed screen shot result.

Hi subxero

I have refreshed your account. Please allow for 30min to pass, then reboot router.

Hi,

I can receive emails, but cannot send them. I get the error "the connection to the server was interrupted, if the problem continues, contact your server administrator or ISP".

This has been intermittent for the last 4 days, and Mweb technical support says they logged the fault and would sms me. But nothing.

Can you help please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi I am getting the very same issue with my emails, I can get emails but most times cant send them.

What is wrong with mweb technical support number? Trying to phone to resolve my uploading issue. It rings and then engaged...
