MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

I'm feeling really sorry for MWEBGuy at the moment, having to deal with this ****storm all alone... I for one am gonna get on to the call centre tmrw and bring the hammer down on them, maybe if we spread the attack onto more fronts something will get done.

I also don’t know what’s going on. I’m switching to our business account to have some personal access, actually need to check uploaded YouTube videos… Had to check Sunday and that is when I noticed the segmented loading problem, although I can check the videos 100% on my smartphone but not on any PC orientated devices, no problems with IS… These issues also occur on our Mweb business account, but I rarely use that and mostly serve as backup.

Yesterday and today the browsing went way slow; I’m not worried about torrenting. The browsing seems okay now…

Anyway, we did not receive an SMS notification regarding network issues… Or seen any reports on the status site: http://www.mweb.co.za/helpcentre/NetworkStatusNotices.aspx.

Mweb Guy previously said that WACS is problematic and the engineers are checking into Seacom, why? Problems with both then, I do not know about any Seacom issues at this moment?

I really think that the subscribers should be informed about what is going on any why only certain services are broken or affected.

Thank you Mweb Guy! Speedtest much better.

Youtube is still dodgy though

For a few glorious minutes Mweb gave me line speed (6Mbps instead of 4), but it's climbed back down now. At least I'm downloading news at over 300KB/s. Will try a torrent tonight, but not getting my hopes up.

Torrents are working, YouTube still only getting 2 seconds. Speedtest is not even able to start the speed test atm.

i have exactly the same problem and i just registered with mweb yesterday. been on the phone all day and tried everything and no1 can tell me what the issue is :( i thought it was just a problem with my new line but seems like its a issue with a lot of ppl glad to know its not just me at least... im really considering closing the account at this point if they cant even say there is a problem or at least say they know of the issue since i have been on the phone with them for 2 days.

btw my line is a 2 meg premium uncapped and i had a free trial 4 meg account that finnished today and that was working 100% so is it a issue on the 2meg or what? im really confused : /

Netflix and Spotify working. Can't really complain as torrents have been perfect for last few days.

/hopes Youtube will come right soon

Thanks again Mweb Guy

Company SMS’ed me a MWEBBusOps, received 6:59 pm according to the guy:

Dear customer, our engineers are attending to an issue affecting connectivity to our co-located environment. Updates to follow.

Is there any way to report these on MyBB? It would provide some forumnites here assurance.

Did I not call it?

I knew there was some link that was down.

Mweb use to tell us when they were having problems, now they think we are too stupid to realize.

Getting sick of this BS.

Terrible http dl speed tonight  No wonders why MWEB's recently been losing a lot of customers

What a great ISP you are, MWeb  I'm downloading the latest Iron Man III trailer at 10kB/sec on my uncapped 1mbit line :mad::mad::cry::mad::mad::mad:

I knew there was some link that was down.

The only link that is down with MWEB is the causal link between a customer paying for a service and MWEB actually delivering what is paid for. Everything else is just MWEB making excuses.

Since the link has been fixed my account's download speed has got worse.

Winging every few minutes isn't going to help. Cancel your service and move to another ISP

Telling everyone who will listen as often as possible will hit MWEB's bottom line, and that is the only sure-fire way consumers have to communicate with businesses.

Hi Mweb,

I haven't had many problems over the last year or so and have generally found your product to be of a very good standard but over the last few days I'm having trouble streaming things (youtube mainly but others too) which seems odd because it's normally seamless. Any chance you could look into this for me? Thank you!
