Common denominator there was our locations and IPC - must have been a temp issue with KZN / Durban.

I am really struggling with my 2mb uncapped MWEB account lately
I live in Sea Point Cape Town and the last 2 weeks, streaming, especially youtube has been dreadful....the video hardly loads....
I am on the 4MB "Premium" uncapped and lately my line has gone from 4MB to just under 1MB when doing a speedtest, Local latency in the 90's is BS and sitting in World of Warcraft my pings are anywhere from 180 to 1950... youtube is sluggish, some sites dont even load, and I am getting highly annoyed with this. I have been with MWEB for ages with no issues. MWEB manage my DSL Line and Account so cant phone telkom, MWEB has to resolve this as its utter BS that international is useless and pings to game servers locally is over 100 and to wow servers is over 1900. Just sent a mail to MWEb Tech support.
If I am throttled on a premium account its not going to end well for whoever picks up the phone ...
What is the problem MWEB, it seems to be quite widespread...
@MWebguy
Same as WickedMONK3Y, it seems i am getting throttled on my 4mb Uncapped Premium account, i have only used 40Gb sofar this month so i cannot possibly be throttled because its unthrottled account firstly secondly i have not reached near the threshold.
Http downloading is half speed 200kbps and peer to peer torrenting is <30kbps
Please assist because i phoned last night and the tech asked me to check after 23:00 and i did and to my suprise i am getting a WHOPPING 30kbps and sometimes 0KBPS.
The seeding ratio is 350% so its not a lack of available seeds.
This has been happening to me as well.
I have 4mb uncapped with Mweb. The line is with Telkom. Contacting Mweb about my slow speed, which has been going on for 1 month (ping times included a ping of 1200 with speedtest.net and so on) they simply told me my line is with Telkom and they can't help me. Contacting Telkom, and our line is completely fine, as are tests done with other ISPS.
Speed is still breakneck slow from Mweb. I download at around 70kbs which if i'm lucky, goes up to perhaps 120kb at night. -extremely- frustrating. It is so slow, infact, that when I am downloading, I -cannot- open any webpages.....
Hey guys
I activated a trial account and was thoroughly impressed with the results.
I upload quite a bit, backing up my computer to Crashplan. Watch a lot of videos online, and the computer is shared on a home network with the rest of the family so the data stacks up quickly.
We're at about 200GB in a month average.
I would just like to find out if the 4mbps would suffice? I've seen others mention getting like a warning letter, so I'd just like to ask at about what amount GB's in a month is the "abuse" range?
Thx!
My connection keeps cutting out. Doesn't seem to be a line issue. Anyone else having issues this morning?
@Mweb Guy I suspect that an MWEB agent tried to call me on my old number. Can I PM you my current number so I can find out about downgrading my account
