Please do! All I ever saw was a two to one ratio of posts where you troll every complaint someone have with your own personal agenda, so much so that even MwebGuy do not even get a first choice of offering first line help!
MWeb Guy, with regards to the throttling, don't you think it would be a good idea to have weekends and possibly week nights be measured outside of the throttle total? Like the other ISPs?
I think you have your opinion on how the uncapped business works. Correct me if I'm wrong but ISPs pay a flat or wholesale rate on the pipe that comes into them, this hasn't got a cap but the only way to charge for the traffic is to use GBs rather than Mbps, this means there is always a break even point, beyond that is it's not profitable for them to provide the service. AFAIK they pay the same amount whether the traffic is used for Web browsing or torrents, it's the ISPs job to ensure that legit uses take priority hence the port shaping.
The problem is your last 30 days since the throttling was introduced. Yes it was free for all service for a long time, unfortunately the bean counters at MWeb have found that they either sell at a loss, let the abuse of a few affect all users or introduce this current throttling system. The way that MWeb has handled his has been appalling to say the least, the fact that the limits seem to be proven while the ISP is mum on them should have their marketing/PR person looking for a new job. The throttling system itself should have 'open times' to allow users to reduce their throttle limits easier.
Fudzy = Mweb Guy?
Surely... lol![]()

I would be happy too if I knew the throttling threshold like he do,seems to be privileged info he got there. As far as I know nobody else know.LOL... nope

seems to me like a hunch then, you making it sound like it is fact!!I worked it out, 1mbps people were being capped at 100gb (based on 30 day usage, not beginning of the month), 2mbps 200gb and 4mbps 400gb. I think I'm going to create a thread so this thread doesn't get muddied any further.
@MWEB Guy I'm sure you have been asked this before but I couldn't find anything on it in the last 10 pages or so but what are MWeb's plans regarding the Telkom speed upgrades? As I mentioned last night, I'm on the 4Mb Premium Uncapped so being upgraded to a 10Mb line if I'm limited to 4Mb by my ISP option is obviously a waste.
Would my Premium Uncapped option be bumped up to 10Mb to match the line speed or would my line be "downgraded" to stay at 4Mb and keep my existing 4Mb option (but presumably at a lower price for the line portion).
I'm on the "all inclusive" payment method, so I would assume I don't have to individually deal with MWeb and Telkom to ensure my line and ISP packages are the same speed?

Thank you.Good Evening, our marketing team are looking at this. Hopefully we will be able to make an announcement on this soon![]()
And that's just in this thread.
Those are just your personal wishlist. Why not apply for a job there. They can use your "skills" in their call centre.
No thanks, Jhb has no appeal to me nor working for another big corporate.
TRLTech & Afrihost, both gave me months of issues.
Perhaps you were trolling? Either that or you seem to have a bad track record of typing before thinking.
