MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Is MWEB down atm? ADSL is syncing but router not connecting to MWEB. Randomly just stopped working about 10 mins ago.

Good morning Dames, I have checked your account now and I see an active connection. Please test and let me know if you are able to connect.

Can someone tell me what is the rolling 30-day threshold for a 2mbps Premium Uncapped account?

I know it's somewhere in this thread but can't seem to find it atm.

Hi, the threshold for the 2mb premium account is around 200Gb

I Mwebguy could you please explain what this means? Last month I did about 100gb this month will be the same. I've been checking the status on your website and yesterday it showed 103GB. So does it update each day - meaning the previous 30 days (on the day you check the status) or is it month to month. Sorry if this has been answered before.

Apparently my shiny new Fon router has arrived! Cannot wait to have some fun

The 200Gb is the threshold before throttling.

It works on a 30 day rolling window is recalculated everyday.

So if it shows you that you have used 103Gb in last 30 days then that means it is for the 30 days leading up to today.

Just a quick question about the router, all documents I find online say the router should have printer sharing yet I can't find or figure it out, please tell me it wasn't disabled with the MWEB firmware?

Hi Soul assassin, it does support a network printer, you can plug the network printer into the router.

Hey MWEB Guy, those FON wifi Routers that we get for free, what is the catch? Do we have to sign a contract or do we just get them?

And will it also create a FON wifi hotspot for everyone to use?

So if you decide to connect via Afrihost free 1Gb account to test something, for instance, some other citizen can quickly use it up via the FON hotspot :)

Hi phoneJunky, you can get this router on a month to month and not a a fixed term 1 or 2 year contract.

It will create a Fon WiFi hotspot however, only registered Fon members will be able to access it.

Just read through the MWEB website, looks like it is a totally seperate network. Shouldn't affect you

Thanks, I am right about the 2 seperate networks aren't I. And the FON app on play store, can I use that to automatically connect to this networks when I am available. I can't do it with the always on one which is a pitty.

I plugged my printer into the router, now what, I don't see anything in the GUI and it didn't exactly come with a manual?

Where's my Router?
I have not received a email saying when I will get it.

Also why are you charging me R599.00 for the 2meg Premium uncapped instead of R509,00 on the mweb site.

Hi playkiller no.2

If you are referring to the FON router, it takes 7-10 working days for delivery.

When did you order yours?

Please send me your MWEB email address.

Hello.

I'm planning to switch to MWEB Uncapped as soon as my Telkom account is canceled.

I just have a few questions.

1. Whats the difference between Uncapped and Premium Uncapped accounts?
2. Is the 4mb trail account an image of the Uncapped or Premium Uncapped account?
3. Is online gaming traffic prioritized on both the uncapped and Premium Uncapped packages?
4. Will a 2mb Premium Uncapped perform better then a 4mb Uncapped account during the day (from 7AM to 4pm)?

Hi stephan123789

1) The Uncapted is a Standard package whereas Premium. Standard has a lower threshold.

2) 4MB Trial account will be Premium

3) Gaming is prioritized on our Network. ( Covers all accounts )

4) 4MB is a faster speed. ( All line quality is different from place to place)
