MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

No non of the usage falls away as this is your historical data, even though you are on a different package.

The reason for this, is that if it was to fall away then this could be used to bypass out throtlling.

Yes I do realise this, that's why I said of some of the previous data, it would be easy for you to check my historical data and clearly see I'm not trying to bypass the throttling.

Think of this scenario, I was on the 4mbps premium and I was on 320GB, I would be unthrottled and everyone at MWEB would be perfectly happy, now I decide to move to the 10mbps standard and I would automatically from the start be throttled for weeks, effectively moving myself into throttled status.

The opposite of trying to bypass throttling, I see your point but it has to work both ways.

Good day MWEB Guy

Please look into Google services/Gmail performance, crawling today and it's fine with other ISPs. This needs to be prioritised during office hours, please. :)

Hey :) I'd like to testdrive a Uncapped 2Mbps trial account, if possible... given that I was ... erm... an ex MWEB client :o Want to know what has changed/improved/etc since I left you guys last year.

Hey, I've already cancelled my Afrihost account (Reason: Unreasonable shaping policy) today and I will discuss with my brother tonight about MWEB before making a decision. Tomorrow I might sign up for one of those Uncapped Premium 2mbps accounts. Will pm you my details tomorrow morning.

I've just had the most hilarious call from MWEB Fon Sales in Cape Town. I upgraded my MWEB Uncapped 4mb line to a 6pmb line in February. Whilst doing the upgrade, I was told that I qualified for the FREE Fon Router and Range Extender.

I eventually received my Router in May and after reading feedback about the router on the forums, I decided not to use the products. The Router and Range extender has remained unopened in my cupboard.

I now get a call from MWEB, demanding that I give them back the router since I am not using it. Are you guys so short of Routers and Range Extenders that you have to take back what was given for free? What if I suddenly decide to use the router at a later stage then that?

Hi Schitzo

I hear what you saying but please keep in mind the agreement for the free router.

Would you like me to investigate the call made to see if the agent could of handled the call better?

Hi MWEB Guy. I understand and am aware of the agreement. However when I was told I would be receiving the Free Router, NO one mentioned anything about the FON Network now the conditions of usage. The agent who made the call was very polite and patient with his explanation of things and agreed that the agent who originally offered me the Router and Range Extender, should have mentioned and explained the terms of service to me.

I am just amused that MWEB would ask for the router to be given back to them after they had said it was free and had given it to me. MWEB's most welcome to the router. I'm switching ISP's at the end of the month.

Please PM the address for collection.

I will ask management to provide refresher training.

There seems to be a break down in the communication chain. I've just received a second phone call from an agent inquiring about the Router and Range Extender.

They have my address on file.

Yes or No?

Never. And they only allow one concurrent connection.

Please run Zertop's tool and post results.

Also post Speedtest results, local and international.

I just want an answer from mweb, with respect, to heck with my time wasting and tests and stuff for now.
A simple answer will do from them.

Then we can move further on.

Excellent, I will await confirmation from MwebGuy to the effect!

Seems some other isp's (if I understand correctly claimed the same and) were found wanting.
