MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I won't lie. I am getting better speeds than that at the moment. Averaging about 150KB's on 4Mbit Premium uncapped (Not even sure why I bother using the Premium anymore as it feels nothing like a premium account) But the download is up all over the place and is just an endless spike graph going up to around 230KB's for a second or two and being hit back down to the 150's

I seem to be getting full speed on youtube atm(tried streaming 1080p 24fps and got up to 360kb/s), not sure about steam. But surely enough after 10am it will drop down to 2mb speeds.

EDIT:

Steam running at about 350kb/s for me.

WOW, your line is flying in MWEB terms brother. Strangely , I received a call from Telkom in Centurion (I live in Vereeniging), saying there is a lot of noise on my line, and they will send a tech out immediately. Go figure!!

Is there a major Mweb outage - no connection since 2.30am and nothing about it on the network status ?

Our office connection as well as a number of my clients with mweb connections are down too. Mweb says they are working on it whatever that means......

My line stats are not so great. But Telkom refuses to come and replace the lines or at the very least upgrade the exchange despite there being a high demand for it. Still on 4Mbit.. No fiber coming here anytime soon either ;_;

When it rains or its windy my line completely loses adsl sync constantly. But asking to get it fixed is like asking the anc to stop being corrupt and for them all to pay back the money they have stolen.

Morning MWEB, When will this issue be resolved ?

MWEBBusOps: Dear Customer, Internal system errors are affecting provisioning and connectivity to services. Engineers attending and ETA to follow.

Also, why is it not on your network status page.

Haha! I feel like we're in the exact same boat. Northern Suburbs CPT. Almost every area around me has FTTH and VDSL, even 10Mbps but my area is stuck on 2 and 4Mbps with no signs of improvement. My line was also in pretty bad shape, so much so that I actually went out and bought cable and replaced it myself in our property (obviously with Telkom's help to connect up to the telephone pole and install the telephone jack). Needless to say this didn't improve anything (LOL) since the line from the junction box (silver/cement cylinder) on the corner of the street to the SDC and so on, is incredibly bad. The only difference is that my line stats improve with bad weather, when it's hot and dry in summer, it's terrible and loses sync almost every day.

Problems with Telkom, problems with ISPs. I don't mean to seem pessimistic but DAMN things are not easy these days. :wtf:

So Mweb say business problems are IS concerns not theirs. Do business accounts authenticate with Mweb or IS ?

Akaik mweb....

Clearly they are in a flat spin right now and time is ticking away.

What has MwebGuy got to say about all this? Awfully quiet.
