MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

WTF :wtf: ''The less you use it'' ... ie do not go online ,,,, ''the sooner it will be back to normal'' .... Huh? Not going online with an internet account is NORMAL ....:wtf:

REALLY ... your useage will even out at NOTHING???? :wtf::wtf::wtf:

Using less to not going online is the quite a stretch.

...so after FF14 (10) I got AOC (28), then Spec Ops (±9) and finally a few days back Bf4 (24.4). This is exclusive of my GoG downloads, some updates for rome2 and other things of course. The tally for just for those four is 71.4 gigs. Throttle Free.

What about Openweb? It's been doing well so far this month :)

I have had trial accounts with most of the top ISP's including Openweb and Axxess, found Axxess is the least shaping towards P2P and general downloads maybe because the trial account they offer is capped and it means it unshaped which is not a clear indication of testing whether an ISP is worthwhile moving to or not especially if you want a Uncapped account. Axxess failed in that department or are Axxess not that bad?? Opinions will be greatfully appreciated :)

I haven't tried Plugg yet, are they any good? :) I think I should ask for a trial account

Mweb Guy please don't say I have to wait another 5 or 10 days till I'm Unthrottled because that will be ridiculous as its a new month around the corner :(

Get your 30 day average below 100GB and you should be okay. Check the detailed usage to see when your highest usage days were. The older the better.

Ok. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to see what happens

And here I thought you had to watch your usage only when using a capped account. What use is a UNCAPPED account when you have to calculate daily how much you can use just in case you fall foul of the almighty MWEB throttle hammer? This week I've downloaded starcraft 2, WoW and Diablo 2 which would have put me deep in the red with MWEB but since I am on a uncapped account with another ISP I don't have to schedule my downloads over four or five days.

The reason MWEB doesn't give out the throttling limits is so that they can change it whenever they want. This month you can do 100gb on a 1mb so called premium line (as far as mybroadband members usage goes) but next month they decide 80gb is more than enough for you so you get throttled at 81gb and there is nothing you can do about it except manage your usage a bit better. In a few months you are ecstatic when you've done 40gb on your 1mb line without getting throttled.

Is this the way you want to use the internet?

Funny, back when I had a capped account I had to count my daily usage and ensure it didn't go over a certain amount, At mweb you get to pay uncapped prices for the pleasure!
