nope still no change...

It still shows me the same crap!!! Could this be router related... IT worked fine up until 12 PM and my connection says none where it used to say PPPoE?

Reset your router and set it up with the telkom guest details and see if you can access www.telkom.co.za

Username: guest@telkomadsl
Password: guest

No luck must be router related... dammit. Even tried using my afrihost account... still the same result

Do you perhaps have a different router you can test with ?

Hi MwebGuy, just a quick question, if I downgrade to a 1GB cap account as of today will I be pro rata'd or not? and if pro rata does occur how much will I have to pay? thanks :)

Hi

Yes you should be billed pro rata but I cannot say what the bill will be.
That you will need to confirm with our client services team when you request the downgrade.

Yesterday I noticed something shocking :wtf: (well shocking to me anyways) after months of gaming on Mweb (who claimed they were the 'best' (in terms of gaming) and that gaming was given high priority) my gaming experience degraded so much I thought my PC was the problem. After a few minutes of gaming on OW I realised it was just because of Mweb. Im sorry but Mweb can no longer be an ISP that prides itself on being the best in terms of gaming. With that I say 'Goodbye Mweb :D' (also thanks Mweb Guy for always helping out with problems quickly and efficiently, the only positive I can find from using Mweb)

MOrning 325i, are you having any trouble with gaming this morning?

Did you only encounter the problem yesterday evening?

In all honesty I have actually had problems for over 2 months but I took it as my setup being slow and not the actual account. Unfortunately there is no need to worry about this issue as I am moving over to another ISP. Thanks for the Help Mweb Guy.

Doesn't MWeb host some of the S.A. game servers? (Non-gamer asking)

Nope I don't think they manage it anymore, someone else does but don't know exactly who. If Mweb can tell you otherwise, I think gaming on there network is not so prioritized now than how it used to be. I had to move on from one of the best ISP's but that isn't the case these days, I think a lot of the users already know who is to blame for the downfall of a spectacular ISP. Saddens me to say this though, I've moved to better pastures and the grass is definitely greener my side. :) Happy New year btw: :)

Hi all. Bit of a novice here so apologies for 'stupid questions.

Please correct me if I'm wrong from what I have seen from previous comments : The approximate threshold on our 4MB premium package is 400GB and approximately 950GB on our 10MB premium. The 10MB standard package has a threshold of approximately 250GB.
What is the approximate threshold of a 4MB standard package?
I am currently on a 2MB premium MWEB account and use on average about 100GB month, have requested to be moved to the 4MB standard but after reading all the threads seem to be in real danger of being 'managed'
Would appreciate to know the thresholds of the 4MB Standard and the 2MB Premium.

Looking at the reduction of the 10MB premium to standard account looks to be 26% thus from the 4MB(400GB), can I expect +- 26% of that on the 4MB Standard(100GB)?

Thx in advance
