MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Quick question:

Is there any difference between having your ADSL line with Telkom or MWEB except the price?

Afternoon, we also manage the relationship with Telkom on your behalf. We are able to log faults, drop or increase line speeds and do port recreates.
 
Just thought I would drop in here to say .... rather unashamedly ..

I miss you guys - miss the network ... miss the reliability .... miss the support .. :cry:

PLEASE ... drop the throttling - shape me by all means .... PRETTY PLEASE :D:D

I know I am a data hog, abuser, or whatever nasty name fits ..... but I do so miss MWEB..... :cry::cry:
 
Is the extender not supposed to work with other routers? It connects (sometimes) to the fon router, but never gets past the security key on my netgear. Also, I've reset it about a hundred times and it seems to be confused about which IP it wants to be, sometimes 192.168.1.2 and other times 102.168.2.2 (not really a problem, just highlighting the issue). The fon router is great btw, I love the NAS functionality.
 
How do I know if someone is using my wifi or the FON network?

The Wireless and Internet lights on my router is flashing non-stop.

Open the Fon router GUI, navigate to Home Network and then Devices. You will see all your devices there. The extender should be something like Unknown-"mac_address". Check the IP address assigned to it. If it is in the "192.168.1.*" range then you should be ok.

While playing with my extender I have seen it being assigned a different IP address in the range "192.168.*.*". I can only assume that is the Fon wireless network. Could be wrong.

MOrning, you should be able to verify with me.

We will be able to tell you if there has been any FON usage on your connection.

MWEB Guy, is it true that there should be a kind of a commission the FON hotspot owner reaps (however negligible) if someone chooses to connect via this person's particular hotspot?

I think I read somewhere that it's FON's business model. (Stand to be corrected.)

Does data I use on the FON net come from Uncapped account?

One can't connect to their own FON signal only to other users FON

The FON signal/connection is totally separate from your Uncapped Data usage/normal WiFi

I placed order for 2 of the MWEB FON Routers
Our company has 2 seperate accounts with MWEB.

I have already received one - but not the other (they where ordered 2 minutes apart) - any reason I would not get the other ?

+ 1, also miss it but throttling is a no no. :( deeply saddened.....

So I received my package today. No extender in the box. Let me know when you want to collect the router. Mine works fine. I will pick up my own extender.

I received the delivery yesterday. No range extender in die box? What do I do from here? Mweb will want it back from me someday.
