MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I am still having spiking issues in games. It was fine after I had complained to mweb/telkkom 2 days before the international problems.

Even though I have a super bad problem with Telkom this issues with Mweb ain't helping now :/

Its like being back in the dark ages

Hi booNi

The MWEB international issue has been resolved.

I kept on loosing my wifi connection and decided to unplug my Range Extender. Now that I'm not using the extender I haven't had a single problem with my wifi connectivity.

Don't know what the problem could be but this Range Extender is definately not working for me.

Hey mwebGuy. Spoke to you on twitter but my issue is still lurking... Ping spikes constantly from 30-500 since the international went down. I see the high ping ingame and on Teamspeak but when i do a speedtest it is normal?

Please help... I have tried a different router. Resetting, and also changing the username to @dslmweb. nothing has worked.

MwebGuy, you guys obviously keep ongoing stats of the total downloads over the rolling 30 day period so why not, for the sake of transparency, make these available for viewing under the account details on your website?

The only stat we currently are able to get is the total downloads, uploads and total usage per month. Not of any actual use when the "soft caps" are based on a rolling 30 day period. You can, at great effort, obviously add up all the downloads over the previous 30 days but to do this daily is a time consuming waste when you already have this information on hand.

Having this data readily accessible online via our accounts will mean total transparency and no shock being expressed when you are suddenly throttled.

It is there. :-P

In my case with 2Mbit Premium, I just make sure my download doesn't exceed 6GB per day. That way I have a good idea that I won't be throttled.

Averaging 4.5GB down per day at the moment.

Hi Mweb Guy,
This far i have been happy and i'm recommending you guys to everyone i know, thanks for everything!

But can i suggest you upgrade your "Client Zone" perhaps?, I was a Afrihost client for many years, and the Mweb client zone is like Windows 3.1 compared to theirs :p

Yeah, I work on around 2.25GB per day on my standard. I know I am being too particular above as the total usage will still give you a good indication.

Hi MWEB Guy! I upgraded my account from a 4mb Premium Uncapped to a 6mb Premium Uncapped account in January. I inquired about whether I qualified for the free Router and Range Extender and was told that the Range Extender was out of stock and that they would send me the Router within 5 days which I did receive.

When I phoned to query the status of my Range Extender, I was told that I had already received mine. I tried speaking to a Sales agent today and was told that the Range Extenders were out of stock and that an SMS would be sent to me to see whether I would qualify for the Extender. I then told the salesmen that I would prefer an email and was told that that would be okay however I would have to wait quite a while.

Could you please escalate my order, if possible?

Hi Mweb Guy

I spoke one of your technical agents regarding the following devices that have connected to my FON router...

FON.JPG

There are two ranges here:
192.168.1.X
192.168.182.X

As you can see tons of devices have connected to my network. So I was curious about the .182 range since I'm not familiar with the devices connected. I assumed that's the range for FON connections. I phoned one of your agents and she informed me that NO I'm not able to see connected FON devices.

This I did not understand so I decided to connect my mobile phone to the FON network and lo and behold, samsung galaxy is now on the .182 range. So I do not agree with what she and her technical partners said.

So here's my question...

How do I clear this long list of non connected FON devices from my wireless list? It's crappy to manage my personal devices with all these devices in-between. The only option I currently see is to manually remove them one by one, which is not a fun option and obviously the list is going to grow.

Thanks.

Edit: Upon further inspection I've discovered that I can't delete these devices. The delete option is there but the device is not removed from the list even though the status is inactive.

Still waiting for my range extender too.... keep getting told it'll come. I had no need for a new router and only went for the offer as I needed a range extender. Router still sitting in the box waiting. I'm waiting for them to say it has not been connected, they want it back.

So I got my router and extender today. Thanks.

But the WPS light doesn't come on the router when I press the button. I can't connect to the extender. Anyone have the same problem?

So new orders are getting extenders while those of us that ordered weeks ago are still waiting for extenders! Care to explain, MWEBGuy?
