The outage in the numerous 012 areas were affected by Telkom outage, unfortunately we do not know exactly what caused the outage.

We escalated it as soon as we picked it up and it has been resolved since.

Perhaps you didn't read correctly - this was national, not just 012.

Adsl was up, pppoe was up so how is this related to Telkom ?

The midnight outage was specific to the 012 areas.

Cape Town is not 012 - and I had a 4 hour outage.

Here is one of my Jhb clients - identical outage to mine from Cape Town.

Uhm, how can you not be aware of a national outage ?

We did not pick up a National outage, as we still had clients connecting at the time.

Evening, please provide me speed test results using

http://www.mweb.co.za/help/ADSL/ViewArticle/tabid/3766/Article/15735/MWEB-ADSL-Speed-Test.aspx

Please ensure there is no active traffic on your network while testing.

Unfortunately no improvement with all the MWEB tests. The internet has been on and off all day with the error coming down to the DSL line disconnecting throughout the day causing the DSL light on the router to flash. I also experience about 3 IP changes today from mweb without any prompt.

EDIT: The problem must lie with Telkom, I tested the line using my backup afrihost account and no improvement at all. Still capped at 512kbps

Hi

Please let me know if you are still experiencing the same problem.
If so, could you please include a link to the speed test you did with the Afrihost account.
I may then need to log this to Telkom for you to investigate.

So my problem is still not solved. No one at gamezone replied for days so please advise that I will be leaving mweb. I think these peple don't deserve to be in the isp business as they incompetendt to help. I also messaged mwebguy and no response so he doesn't want to help me. I dropped my line to 4mb and it's sill not connecting. using another isp it works.

So soon I will say cheers mweb. Was fun but yeah

I also connected as did my clients.

We just couldn't go anywhere.

So what was the problem ?

Unfortunately would not be able to confirm exactly what caused it.

Let me know if the problem re-occurs and we will look into it for you.
