MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

is there anything Mweb can do to make Telkom fix this (my ADSL line extortion is with Mweb)

We log faults to Telkom with all supporting documentation attached (i.e. traceroutes, speedtests etc) for users that allow us to manage their line. Our records show that your line is not managed by MWEB though.

Oh.

It was with you before I moved, but it got messed up during the move. I thought this was already fixed, though. What's the easiest way to get my line moved back to you guys?

Hi Drifter

Thank you for the testes done. I will have our Gaming team look into it.

Hi @MWEBGuy.
Now that MWEB Business has been taken over, who handles the hosted security / vpn (Astaro) changes ?

Hi

I can still have the team look into it for you from my side.
Inbox me your account info and a summary of your query so that I may forward it to them to address.

So, I never got a phone call (why is a phone call necessary anyway? It's 2015, let me click a box on a web page instead.) but today I got the following SMS from Telkom:

Telkom is upgrading infrastructure in your area for an even better service experience. Your Services could be interrupted during this process and a stabilisation period of 48 hours maybe experienced. Telkom is committed to keep the service interruption to a minimum. Should you still experience service difficulties after 48 hours please contact 10210. For more detail please visit www.telkom.co.za/noticeboard regularly for dates

Could this mean that Telkom is finally fixing their congested exchange?

Why are we being shaped to death after 19:30? Dont give a cr@p what kind of download it is, but a 10MBPS line running at 22.9 kBs , thats utter BS. Was never this bad, New telkom policy fahrked you up MWEB?

22.9KBs for what? Torrents?

Yep, I used to get full line speed in the evening, not just that , my connection to US gaming server is non existant. Browsing is slow, Youtube buffers, Royal fahrk u MWEB user.

Torrents are dead here too, but browsing and YouTube is perfect.

I don't torrent, but would only expect it to work well after 00h00. Maybe give it some time.

That said, I've tested many times during day/night, and always had good speeds for the times of day. Now is different, I can't recall having zero throughput.

You sure your line is OK?

+1. This is pathetic. I understand that traffic needs to be prioritized, but why am I paying a premium for a so-called premium account if this is happening regardless of my usage for the last 30 days? Might as well go back to a 4mbps non-premium account vs the 2mbps premium account. Yeah, I think that's what I'll be doing... Take the R130- I'm saving and put it towards my AH capped account.

Good plan as Premium only gives you a higher threshold.

Line is perfect, getting full speeds on speedtest with very low ping.
