MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Entire weekend has been a non-stop lagfest with disconnections and laughable ping to international gaming servers. I gave up trying to play games and settled for watching some series from torrents. OH WAIT TORRENTS DONT START.

No problems here, or in this thread. I just fired up a Linux distro:

Really getting sick and tired of our pathetic speeds. I'm not sure if its Mweb or if its a line fault with Telkom.
All I know is when we signed up in 2013 all was good. This last year has just been so inconsistent.
I don't mind resetting the modem once a week when we get dead speeds...but every few hours?
Up down up down. How do I determine if the issue is with Mweb or Telkom itself?

Already seems like a Telkom/equipment fault...

What are you getting pathetic speeds with? Everything?

It sounds like it very well be a telkom fault.

Send me a PM with your MWEB details so taht I can confirm that there is nothing from our side causing this

Telkom is up to something. Post your modem sync stats here to get a better idea of the problem.

Are you able to test with another router see if the problem persist?
Also try to test with your router at another location to see if it the connection is more stable.
This should help you narrow down what could be causing the disconnects.

My gaming was ok most of the time, bar yesterday, it was mpossible to connect, and when I did, uber lagfest.

Also try to test with your router at another location to see if it the connection is more stable.
This should help you narrow down what could be causing the disconnects.


I cannot. It is a FON router that has only recently started with this problem.
Also, another location is not possible.

Your account is showing a stable router connection since 8:55 AM today. Are you connecting to the router via a cable or wireless connection?

So why does the call centre answer Welcome to Mweb ?

We recently sold off our business division to Internet Solutions and this has now come into effect. There will still be some of there systems or tools which refer to MWEB, however this is not the case any longer.
