Thats fine, But if it starts acting up, ill be moving over to another ISP account for the evening as its just unbearable.

Ill give you tracerts to those later. Google.com is technically local so that wont help surely?

cant even log into wow now........... and youtube page doesnt load......and gmail doesnt load

The trace route seems normal.

Can you confirm if you are obtaining your DNS automatically or if you are specifying DNS?

Dynamic / Auto DNS

Ran both Trace Routes and gmail was still loading, eventually Timed Out..

Anybody else experiencing slow downloads speeds on Mweb Uncapped Premium at the moment? (Testing on Steam Game Downloads, Youtube and Twitch)

Can barely average 100KB. Telkom and Crystal web account working at full speed.

It is dead.. Gmail won't load anything... Switched over to Crystel Web Test Acc and the Gmail Loading bar loads instantly same for Youtube etc.

Same on Crystal Webb Test Acc Yet Google Services (Gmail, Youtube etc.) Loads Instantly..

I've noticed a considerable decline in international download speeds and my general browsing experience is a bit sluggish - also MWEB Uncapped Premium.

When I run the test on speedtest.net, it gives me great results ... so I don't know what's cooking. Tracert results also seem normal - everything below 10ms up to hop 5 and +/- 25 to 30ms onwards, locally (which is normal). International pings at around 226+ (also normal). Yet, when I watch a YouTube video, or download something, my download graph basically caps at 2mbps, but usually lower (on a 10 mbps ADSL connection running Mweb's Uncapped Premium @ 4mbps).

It's like my speed has been cut in half (at best). Also, throttling is not active, according to my MWEB account page. So I don't know ...

Yeah I have noticed this too. I have had a really awful decline in my download speed overall. But more so with my Mweb account than my Telkom/Crystal web account. Also speedtest is never a good way to test your speed. (this is going to come off as conspiracy which is fine. Feel free to think otherwise) But honestly.. The more I ponder on it, I think ISP's are simply throttling everything and anything just about and not just torrents/p2p etc and always make sure speedtest.net works perfectly.

You are quite right about Speedtest, however if you're experiencing a slow down on all your ADSL accounts, this points to a Telkom/line/equipment fault.
 
been having an issue in the Stellenbosch area with Mweb accounts, myself a a few friends in the general area, might be same exchange, not the same DSLAM though, adsl connection stays up, but all connections drop for 10 or so seconds.

Only happends on the mweb account, my second adsl line, same DSLAM same exchange running another IS account no problem.

any ideas?
 
So im unable to connect to wow at the moment. Ive made a short 1 minute video showing what problem im actually experiencing and showing my browser works etc but wow just does not connect.

Any update on the monitoring of my line? wow seemed fine last night, but my google docs and gmail were a problem. also youtube seems to be a problem.

That is the problem MWEB is the only Sloww ACC. which means Telkom etc. are not at Fault and Trace Routes show that..

Hi nerevar

You have 2 dedicated ADSL lines in your house?

The 1 is IS and the other is being used for MWEB?


Have you tried putting your MWEB account details on the working line, to see if the issues persists?
