MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Current Mweb subscriber here. I love my Premium Uncapped package. I however do think current customers should be allowed the same deal as new customers. Mtn and Vadacom did this years ago, new contracts so awesome while current contract holders got offered a piece of crap phone for the same price. Now it is one price fits all at the Cell providers.

Hi DLComputer, please PM me your MWEB details so that I can look into this for you.

I phoned Mweb and they said I could get the special deal, but it just doesn't feel right that I had to ask about it. Why is there a different cost for old and new customers... it's a very sad attempt at third degree price discrimination.

Good Day, please note that the product you are referring to is a promotional offer which is there for a limited time period.

You are also not on a capped package and needed to request to change to the capped package to take advantage of the promo deal.

When you say limited time period does this mean that once the offer expires the monthly costs stays the same for clients who have taken up this offer but no new clients can sign up for this offer or does it mean that the monthly costs will increase for clients who took out this offer.

When will mweb start to give unlimited night time data or increase it now i have to have 2 isp accounts because another give 1tb night data or an option to pay for unlimited night time data., on capped accounts

What we mean by a limited time period, is that this deal will be offered for a limited time.

If you have signed up for the package and we no longer offer it, you will still pay for what you signed up for.

The monthly cost should not increase

Afternoon MRTOM, at the moment we do not offer unlimited night time data.

I cannot guarantee that this will be something we will offer in future, nor can I say we won't.

Thank you for your reply i think its something to consider if your network allows it because most isp are doing it and its very attractive if you are like me who scedule my downloads for after midnite

I understand how that can be attractive and will certainly pass your comments along to our marketing team ;)

MWEB will be increasing prices on selected products

Got the following email recently:
Hey MWEBBER,

From 1 January 2016, MWEB will be increasing prices on selected products.

MWEB ADSL Data + Line product from R 689.00 to R 739.00

We’ve only increased the ADSL line rental portion of your product - and not your Data! This is to allow for our increased costs of managing and supporting your ADSL line with Telkom on your behalf. The good news is that our line rental prices are still lower than leading competitor's retail prices.

Yours in connectivity
MWEB
Can't determine how much MWEB pays Telkom,
but I can compare the combined "ADSL Data + Line" which is what I pay.
A quick check shows that MWEB is more expensive.

MWEB is less expensive on 4Mps, but more expensive on higher speed packages.

Thinking of switching and upgrading to 8Mbps/10Mbps.
Can anyone comment / advise on VOX/AfriHost/Axxess?

What i will have to check my email if there is a price increasevon adsl line rental im leaving everyone is dropping pricing and mweb increase prices???

Good Afternoon MRTOM, we are only increasing the ADSL line portion.

The data prices remain the same.

Telkom is increasing the ADSL line costs and we are therefore increasing this portion accordingly.

And where is the link to that increase from telkomi have my line also with mweb

You should have received an email notifying you on the price increase.

Please let me know if you have not received it.

Anyone else experiencing trouble logging into ABSA's Internet Banking with an MWEB ADSL connection?

All the PCs on a client's network is having trouble doing that, but everything else is working fine.
