So just to confirm, Mweb intend to fix this and acknowledge it as their issue and not blaming chrome?

Also, i emailed [email protected] or whatever it is regarding the complete lack of help on the http://forums.mweb.co.za/ site in regards to gaming, got a response last night but they just forwarded it onto "the gaming department" the same incompetent people (i think?) can you tell me wether the people on that forum are the same people that assist via emails. If it is the case, is there no higher than the gaming department? as this issue in one form or another has been going on for almost 2 years.

Morning, once we can pin point the issue we will certainly do our utmost to address it.

Our gaming team and Technical mail teams are different.

Please provide me the detail of the gaming posts and I will escalate them to our gaming team for you.

The issues started with Destiny: http://forums.mweb.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=6508 in September of 2014, Scroll throug the thread same username i gave up and quit the game as a result for a long period, came back months later to the same issue so ive stopped playing all together.

Then the issue occurred in The Division: http://forums.mweb.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=201&t=8121 from game launch (early March) and continues today. Using other ISP accounts to play the game gets frustrating.

Now im having an issue with World of Warcraft http://forums.mweb.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=207&t=8133 Which i realise many people around the world are having, but the fact remains that the only ISP i cant connect with (out of those ive tried which is 4) is Mweb, the rest connect fine. Im not saying OMG MWEB F**KED UP! but i am saying there must be a work around if other ISP's work?

Anyway! If you can assist, that would be appreciated.

Any news on chrome and streaming? no? yes?

It's not coming from Chrome it's coming from MWEB's traffic shaping rules. There is a plugin for Chrome to get it to use mp4 instead of webm, but I never tried it.

It works fine at the moment but I don't know if it's because someone at MWEB fixed the traffic shaping or if it's because there is no shaping happening at the moment.

Yeah I can't play and youtube vids in Chrome but it does seem to work on Firefox. Not sure what this problem is, though not a big issue for me now since I can just use another browser...

Haven't got the faintest now, Mweb's blaming chrome and no one Chrome testing side has this problem. Must be a traffic shaping error on Mweb's side. I have however improved chromes over all performance. Just go to settings - show advanced settings - scroll to the bottom to system - remove the check from the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available" - restart chrome

Pleased to report that my 6Mbps test account is running at full steam since the tweaks. MWEB Uncapped is now performing like MWEB Capped again. The best.

Well done, I'm sure all the MWEB Uncapped users on Chrome (and Safari on Mac in my testing) will be really pleased with this. :)

Morning, we normally advised that you obtain your DNS automatically.

When you change it to obtain DNS automatically, does it improve your experience?

My DNS is assigned automatically. And runs through dnsmasq and cache through squid.

Not having any lookup issues. Just a general query.
