MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Thanks for the reply. Our line itself has no problem and other accounts including a test account from X ISP works on it. Our main concern with the account is that it is to expensive compared to other services out there. Your standard account will be even further away from the service I can obtain at X ISP. Get your pricing and quality right and I will return.

Main reason I left MWEB? See all above. The one and only online game I play, became impossible after they "changed" something, but denied it. Moved over to VOX, BOOM, all my frustrations gone.
 
Well I tried another 2 different ISP's but I seem to be having the same problem, at random times my line starts dying, ping in game goes sky high and other people in the household can't browse, it's as if the internet hangs.

If I reset the router for a bit it's fine but not for long. I had this problem a while ago then bought new router, it worked perfect for like a month or 2 but now back to same problem, could this be telkom or router? (Don't see how it could be new router again).

I also see this fluctuates: 4MB line (Line speed nowhere near and my area is capable of 10mb so really not sure whats cooking here)

Downstream Line Rate (Kbps): 2709
Upstream Line Rate (Kbps): 511

What can I do?

Is mweb having issues this morning.. Can't get anything faster than 20kb a second on my 8 meg premium uncapped.
I am in the Edgemead area.

Mweb uncapped 4MB ADSL not usable this morning. (extremely slow)

I had to connect via Afrihost backup account to even load the Mweb pages and post here. (so it is Not a Telkom issue.. at least not a local Telkom issue)
(I'm near N1 City)

Edit: I see from what Mweb posted on their FB page that they are blaming Telkom, and it's been ongoing since 6am.. so 4 hours.

Hi all, Telkom has resolved the speed issues in Cape Town and Durban.

Please reboot and see if that resolves. We have had a few customers giving feedback that their speeds are back up and running.
 
Do we have a report on why Mweb was down in Cape Town, PE and Durban ?

The spread of outages makes it very unlikely to be a Telkom issue.

Previous outages not blamed on Telkom have been in those specific three areas - only for my Mweb clients....

Hi all

There was an IPC upgrade scheduled for Saturday morning. Something went wrong with the upgrade and we ended up with only 10% capacity in CPT and DBN.

This was escalated to Telkom before 8am, however they could only assign an engineer to the problem later the morning.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by this.
