MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

They still having this issue? One of the reasons I had left was because of this and this was like after months of having this problem.
Whatsapp drops messages. Notification bar shows that's whatsapp is checking for new messages etc.

Engineers cannot give a time frame as to when it will be fixed.

Sorry if this is off topic. My internet downloads are suddenly slow and in the past I always contacted the MwebGuy through Twitter to reset my account. He was always fast to help me but nowadays he has disappeared. If you contact the normal MwebHelp it takes a long time before they eventually reply. It is unbelievable that Mweb has decided to stop the services of the MwebGuy.

My phone and ADSL line went dead on 21 December and I repoted it with mweb and telkom. Now 29 December still no feedback from mweb. Telkom however refers me to mweb as they are my "supplier". Telkom technician in the Openserve van says line faults will only be attended to on 8 January.
Will I be refunded for the 18 days without service by Mweb or will the blame be placed on Telkom and I need to fork out for a service I didn't have? This is horrific service delivery, holiday season or not.

8 Jan? Wtf. Now that’s some pathetic service.

Is anyone else having problems with slow loading on some websites? Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have all been a lot slower than usual for me. Pictures and videos take long to load. For the past few days I've also had problems with the speeds occasionally being normal.

When I do a speed test at speedtest.net the results seem fine.

I stay in Centurion.

Not sure what happened there... I meant to say, "For the past few days I've also had problems with YouTube. Occasionally the speeds are normal on YouTube."

But yes... a couple of websites and social media sites are loading slowly for me. Photos and videos take way longer than they should or they don't load at all.

Exactly the same with webafrica. Main problem sites are Facebook and Youtube. Been like this a few days now. No idea why. Will be watching a youtube vid then it drops too 144p, then buffers. Facebook just as slow. pictures loading are even worse.

If I look at Axxess' notice board, it seems they got Openserve to fix the problem for everyone.

High latency at night (+60-90ms more) during peak times?

Tested on Axxess to see if it ain't just regular congestion and it seems like Mweb is just lagging for the last 4 days at night.

Hi Elis

Please advise if your experience has improved.

@MWEBHelp

Is it possible to get your 1000GB 100Mbps Openserv Fibre deal on a month-to-month basis? (I already have a line/router setup and working, just want the data)

Hi

I've been having a problem for about 2 weeks+ now. I've called Telkom several times, they say they will do something, I get the sms that its fixed and my problem persists. I know there has been problems in the area too.

My line has been randomly disconnecting. When it reconnects its usually at a lower speed. I have to wait till the stats on my router look more normal. I reset and its back to normal speed till whenever it decides to randomly disconnect and reconnect at a lower speed again. If I try and reset while it there seems to be a problem the line usually syncs at a random bad speed.

Is this a router problem? I don't want to buy another for no reason and I've had this exact problem in the past before - it was always a problem Telkom's side in the area that needed to be fixed.
Upstream Downstream
Current Rate (Kbps) 511 2427
Max Rate (Kbps) 624 3664
SNR Margin (dB) 9.3 6.3
Line Attenuation (dB) 23 35.8
Occupancy (%) 81 60

This is what I'm seeing on the router while there is a problem. My line is 4megs. When the max rates go higher again. Is it possible that this is a router problem? I still think its a line problems and I don't know how to check if a router is faulty or not but since I've had this exact problem before in the past with Telkom I am thinking it is a problem their side - it's just never taken this long after so many calls to try and fix for me before.

Also can my account please be refreshed?

Good morning, it is possible that it can be the router, are you perhaps able to lend 1 to test with.
I am having trouble locating your MWEB account. Please confirm your MWEB details via PM

And MWEB still blames router. I'm just glad I'm not with them anymore cause nothing has changed.
