I have run the tests on the server again and have found no faults. Has anything changed on your system ?
Have you tried maybe re-installing Grabit and Altbinz ?

I have uninstalled both programs and re-installed and now Grabit gives me the following error:
"Unable to connect to the Usenet server...."

Nothing has changed on my side and the news server has been working fine for the last couple of weeks.

we have a saying that all crows are black without a exception, i used to wish Mweb is the exception one or at least a grey one, but now i really know it is just another balck crow again.

I applied for a testing account last month for one week, everything was running perfect, my new server, http, online videos all were running like fly. so i signed up with them for the 4m uncapped at the first of Feb, and they never let me down till last Saturday morning, my new server used to have speed 300k+ now is fix at all time 20-50k/s, and never changed even during the midnight 2pm. after i rebooted the router many time with 0.5 hour interval instructed by Mweb guy ( he always replied me at the first time tks, but sadness is never really helping!!!). before i sign the contract i read their promises in this forum---they never shaped, they only put http first, but i got their feedback today, they are really shaping p2p and new server, ok i think i can accept that shaping during the daytime, but they gave me a all time shaping---my new server was fixed to low speed at 20-50k all time including mid nite and weekend, that is really crazy!! i never expect mweb just gave me 10 days good time and became another black crow just as others.

So my warning is never believe their test account, never believe their promises : " we never shape any individuals"

Not sure if you can see any problems on there right now, but lately I've experienced connection issues, times where my connection has been horrendously slow (e.g facebook takes more than 10 seconds to load) Usually we are able to stream 360p smoothly and have another playing online without any noticeable effects. However as of late, my ping in LoL went from a smooth 180 to around the 300 mark, and we're unable to stream+have another on the net at the same time,

Are there any known problems for the east rand, specifically Springs, because my 4mb account seems throttled at 40 kb/s for anything i do. International browsing and downloading speeds are really bad.

you are not the only one, my experience is exactly the same as yours, suggest Mweb change their name to 40k web!

There is only 1 address: news.mweb.co.za and that will route you to the nearest server.

Have you tested with the IP address?
