Great, back to the 1Mb limiting again. I should add something isn't right with the Dbn node, this has only started happening since the maintenance last week.
Youtube full line speed, other streaming sites(metacafe) 1Mb limit.
Mweb news server good speed on cached content.
P2p, one click file hosts limited to 1Mb, expected, force connection closing not expected.
Normal international downloading, limited to 1Mb, not expected. Filehippo appeared to work then dropped down to 1Mb. Sourceforge via tenet mirror full line speed.
Now next issue, if I happen to be downloading something limited to 1Mb, despite having a 4Mb connection, browsing is very slow, worse than if I was downloading at 4Mb and trying to browse.
Yep, using sabnzbd.
Thing is, I have just recently setup an xsusenet account, which works. (It was the first account to finally work properly on SABnzbd)
Disabled the avast mailshield though, will see how that goes. It just seems there's no chance of connecting to the mweb news server :<
Googling says 10061 means there's no more connections available.
Hi smokeymaryjane
I have tested the MWEB news server and I manage to make a connection and I can download without any issues.
Send me Your MWEB details so that I can have a look into your account.
Regards
MWEB Guy
Hi smokemaryjane,
Your connection on our side shows more than 15 dropped connections and your ATUC SNR is sitting on 6.1db
Is your DSL cable plugged into a filter or directly into the Telkom jack?
With regards to your line readings it will best to have Telkom look into it.
Regards,
MWEB Guy
Line plugs directly into jack. No pots filter connected. Don't even connect a telephone to the line.
Also, if I contact Telkom, what would I be asking them to look in to? As my line is pretty decent overall. Never really have any issues..
