@MwebGuy

What are the max speeds we should be receiving on your 384k uncapped product, running it on a 10Mb line and doing 1.5-3Mb/s:wtf:

HI Ipwn 4

Send me your MWEB details so that I have a look into this.

I am sure I can get you to the correct speed for your account :)

Hi F1ve_claw

I agrees these traces do not look good, I have escalated this to our specialists to investigate and make contact with you.

Thanks. Just to clarify I was the only connection at the time and I have already checked to see if there are programs draining the net

Update: I have tried to connect using an IS account and still high ping (Although lower than yours but that was an unshaped account)

F1ve_Claw:
You stuffed up with your International trace route by copying your local one again.

By the looks of things the Telkom Exchange that you're going through is congested OR something is uploading/downloading heavily on your ADSL connection.

Can't believe I coppied the same thing twice, thanks for pointing it out :).

I checked to see what was using internet and there was nothin downloading. The problem only started on wed night, and I doubt my exchange suddenly got raped like crazy, but I am highly inclined to believe it is a Telkom fault.

Are torrent really slow today for anyone else? Last night it was between 33-40kbs on 1mbs uncapped. Today its struggling to get above 3kbs. Most of the time today its less than 1kbs.

Why not use usenet? So much easier.

Edit: Tested a nicely seeded torrent quickly: I get around 20KB/s on it.

This is for the mweb guy - I thought you said you don't shape the downloads - On Monday it took me about 10 hours to download a 350meg file & yesterday the same thing on a 1 meg line - over the weekend was also extremley slow!! struggles to get above 10kb's (torrent files) - this is really not very nice - can you please explain & if it is going to carry on like this I won't stay at mweb much longer - thanks

Hi Madaboutbullterriers, tell me are you referring to Http downloads ?

Send me your MWEB details so that I can have a look at your account.

Torrent speeds are still very slow. Getting 18kbs. My friend is also getting about 8kbs on his 384 line.
