MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Im on the 4mb uncapped, which is shaped. But i assume port 80 is given priority over other ports?

all email, http (browsing) and gaming are examples of traffic that is given a high priority on our network.

What about VOIP? I use Skype video weekly, and need to be certain I will get good connection?
I'm testing Mweb, WA and Afrihost uncapped accounts at the moment (1meg line).

Thanks already got a test account. VOIP worked fine when I used it last, I was more curious about if it was prioritised.
I'd probably got a bit upset if I can't VOIP one evening due to shaping.

I knew you'd say that. Either way, I've been impressed with the trial, it just seems to be a faster/smooter experience compared to the other providers (similar priced) for browsing, gaming and voip.
 
Cant log into Diablo 3 with Mweb since about 2 hours ago, others on irc also reporting the issue....WTF is going on mweb?

Good Evening, we have no reported issues on our network at the moment. Please provide me more detail as to the problem you are encountering.
 
Hey mweb guy, could you please check if there's a fault or maintanance or w/e logged for Moreleta Park again becuase the adsl is down again... 012 997 to be exact! Thanks

Good evening FrEaKo, I have enabled sms notification for when the outage is resolved.

There is another problem, it's on their notice board.

What do you think Telkom has against us? :(

Have anyone noticed this? I am on uncapped 4Mbps Shaped Account and after 40GB of download Mweb switched my public dyn-ip from 197.xx.xx.xx to 41.xx.xx.xx and now my internet is slow. Can't even stream 720p Youtube videos.

Good evening, the IP's are automatically assigned and should not impact on your experience. Please send me your MWEB account details via direct message.

Edit: they are not assisgned by the amount of data you have used; it changes e.g. when you break your connection (reboot your router)... :)

so i phoned telkom and w8ed a verry long time

i told them about my speed prob and ask them to re-create my port...

the guy said fine,i should turn off my router and turn it on again....
so i did....
but i still have slow speed,i told them that they said "maby its peak hour" at +-8:30pm :/
and that i should test it later

if its still the same at around 11pm
i guess i have to phone them again,and hold on for hours
i swear they only have 1person working there.....

btw,are the mweb speed problem solved (from the servers things that went down/failed)
