MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I am in Century City area CT - speed is erractic and slow since yesterday morning.

Countless resets, PC cleanups and tweaks - no luck

I know it is end of month and the CAPPED crowd is using what is left of their bundle

I am on a 1 mb line uncapped but shaped - this is the slowest it has ever been - hope it rectify itself

Hi there.

My ADSL keeps on disconnecting. we have 2 lines one is connected to business adsl and one to a normal adsl.

the business one is fine but the normal one is intermittend. Also tried swapping the lines arround still the same. normal intermittend and business is working fine.

I feel that my account needs to be refreshed. Contacted the business department but they can't refresh it for me. I mean how can it be the line when the business router works fine with both lines but the normal one doesn't work with both lines. I tried using a linksys and D-link router. Both doing exactly the same. I swear I will get so mad if you blame my adsl line again.

I logged with Telkom and they told me everything is fine. If they bill me for unnecessary call out fee i will ask mweb to pay it for us. Please assist urgently as I do work on this line and also play online and the Battlefield do gaming league is about to start.
 
Just had 10 minutes of being able to game but no pages were loading at all, local or international.

Oh and BTW I don't want to ditch my untangle firewall. I connected my account to the router directly and it's not disconnecting so far. If you can advice me what external linux based firewall I can use that's similar to untangle Firewall then please tell me as I don't trust the net without that.

Am I right in my understanding that Mweb bills 'up-front'

I've noticed that you've billed me Pro-Rata already for Jan + Feb, but already loaded a new invoice for R588 which I assume is for March's usage?

In other words, each debit is actually for the next months usage and not the past months usage. If you debit me on 26 February 2012, that money is actually going towards March 2012's Invoice.

Adsl accounts gets billed in advance and 3G accounts gets billed in arrears.
If its an adsl account then the debit that comes off your account in February is for March's subscription.

Telkom is busy working on my line as well, was busy with them for almost a hour yesterday, they took the line speed up to 10 Mbps... so there is still a few changes they have to do, but it will take a while for them to complete, but I must say taking the line up to 10 Mbps made a difference..
 
Massive high ping on Mweb again, local is 200 odd and International is unbearable ..... please sort it out, it's almost unusable.
