Glad most of you can even run ping test mine just times out the page lol.

Hi Hummercellc,

There is currently maintenance being carried out on our Durban/JHB link and traffic is being re-routed.

This should be resolved later today. Apologies for not picking up on this sooner.

Mmm doesn't the Mweb Steam server in CapeTown cache popular games so that you can download them faster?

Hi Tjoker,

I spoke to our engineers and they have checked the Network and can't find anything wrong other than the link between Durban/JHB.

The Seacom issue has been resolved few hours ago and we feel that your current experience is unrelated.

I will do some further trouble shooting with you to find the root cause of your connectivity issue, so if you could send me tracert and ping tests, to the sites in question and I'll look into it.

Also send me a speed test result.

My latency have just gone up slightly, to 205ms to mweb.co.za, speed gone down to below 1meg.... upload is still normal.....

Seems to be getting worse as the day progresses.....
 
Speeds are up and down.....

Downloads back to 20-30 KB/s

After 9-12 hops...request time out on all

It appears there's a lot more p2p shaping at work today. I got full line speed on a file from mirror.tenet.ac.za

Also getting good speed on Mweb news server... But on most http downloads I'm getting 40Kb/s.

Yes, as soon as the Durban/JHB link is sorted, all services should be back up and running.

How do I check how much I've downloaded on my uncapped account?

I am curious to know because my brother never used to leave his PC on before I got the account, and now he's leaving his PC on when he's at work.

Hi zolly,

Usage can be viewed via My Account. When logging into My Account, you will see the ADSL tab on the left, click on it and you should she an option appear to view the usage.
