Hi dasco144,

How is your general browsing experience? Is it only League of Legends that you are experiencing the lag with? Do you get lag with any other game perhaps?

Regards,
MWEB Guy

I haven't played any other games. Also, all of my friends are experiencing this as well.

My browsing and downloads seem to be fine.

Most of us are using Mweb. My friends who aren't have no problems. Then when switching over to my capped Afrihost it then works fine.

Also having issues with League of Legends. On my mweb account I'm getting 600ms ping roughly (where I usually get about 200ms), just tested it on CellC wireless and I'm sitting on my usual 300ms.

Hi dasco144,

Please do comparative tests with the accounts e.g. ping & tracert and then inbox me the results.

You as well. My connection is fine when I go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning, I cant get more than 100k a second. What I found does help is the 20 min router reset. turn router off for 20 min and then my line is fine again until the next morning.

My problem is just a quick dip in connectivity. It's starting early in the night with my connection getting slower as the night progresses and then suddenly drops. But after it drops for 1min max it comes back to normal

no problems here! Sometimes my router crashes but thats about it... crappy cheap ass router!

Hi Nelis,

Have you brought it to the attention of our Business premier department?

If not, should I escalate it to them?

Any guys trying to fix the lag on league of legends, here is the only solution that works: Switch to afrihost, telkom, openweb or any service that gives unshaped and/or sat bandwidth.

Mweb WILL not fix it, I have had these issues even since I joined mweb. It is better at certain times because their shaping policy restricts the bandwidth in lol.

I have no idea why but all my questions here and directly to mweb has been ignored, I kid you not. "They will never alter any shaping policy because of a game" - mweb tech support.

You are wasting your time asking them to resolve this, and obviously mweb does not care. I have lost untold amount of games because of this, where you start a game and then it starts lagging in 10 minutes in. This is an instant lose and your entire team will report you because "OMG YOU FEED" while your ping went up from 260ms - 700ms

So Mweb blamed my browsing problem on spyware, and was told to speak to Mweb sales reps to buy a virus scanner through them. (I have a spyware scanner program, but he told me that I must avoid free scanners because most of them will actually infect my computer with spyware.)

But I have thought this through now, and it can't be spyware because after I formatted my computer I still had the same problem, and my fiancée's laptop has the same problem.

After having gone in circles with help, doing the same things over, I think we must just forget about it and I will just put up with the slow/not working browsing.

Do not have someone phone me please, because for the last year I have been told to do the same things over and over to fix this problem and nothing has worked, and it's becoming troublesome.

Hi Gimaru,

Please advise if you done these test with both PC connected? If yes, the 384Kbps speeds will be shared.

The last communication our Technical specialist had with you, states that you will get the PC scanned.

What is your current HTTP DL transfer rate and is it only international sites you having issues with or just overall speed in general?

Hi guys

I'm thinking about moving from Openweb to Mweb (not convinced that the extra money is worth it, anymore).

I've taken out an Mweb Uncapped 4096k 7 day trial account. For the first 5 minutes the account ran at full speed - then all of a sudden it reconnected, and I now seem to have local only access.

Is this normal for these accounts? Or is there an international outage on Mweb?
