MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

I'm thinking about moving from Openweb to Mweb (not convinced that the extra money is worth it, anymore).

I've taken out an Mweb Uncapped 4096k 7 day trial account. For the first 5 minutes the account ran at full speed - then all of a sudden it reconnected, and I now seem to have local only access.

Is this normal for these accounts? Or is there an international outage on Mweb?

We have no international outages currently. Have you checked our Network notice board:

No, both computers weren't connected when I did the tests. I get this problem all the time, with both connected, or just 1.

I scan my computer every other week anyway, so I doubt it will make a difference.

The http download speed is normal, it's the browsing that is the problem, on both international, and local.

Hi

I received your inbox message mentioning of slow international browsing. I had a look into your account and found that there is no reason why we should block you from international sites as it is uncapped.

I have refreshed your account. Please test in the next 20min.

I figured out why my browsing is slow here by 17:00, I has a look at my IP address i am getting on the router I have had the same one for a few days, I put my router of for 30 Min and when it restarted it got a new IP Address and at 17:00 yesterday I checked if the browsing speeds will drop again and it did not.... I will keep on monitoring it, but I think it is fixed know...

i have the same problem as bgotapen about LoL and i have reported this on forum but i got no feedback which is very nice.
What nice as well is that i have to pay mweb everymonth and still use my ****y Afrihost account because apparently for the last couple of days they were much much much better then mweb. This situation is very annoying and frustrating.

Im also currently using the Mweb 7 day trial. Cannot browse any international sites. Updating Adobe flashplayer always times out. So far not being a good experience.

How are the NNTP and torrent speeds like during the day on a 1mb Mweb account?

HTTP, streaming audio is high priority..

Might be looking for another uncapped account soon...

Running 2 torrents at the same time at the moment. Combined speed of the two at this moment is 60.3kbs
 
Anything that needs a constant connection today is choppy and unsuable (And I mainly use skype and play a crap game here or two online). Its really annoying.

Yesterday, during the day my torrents were running at around 80-90. Today 14-20.

It's highly variable.
 
Hi MWEB Guy

Unfortunately there is no change. International is unuseable.

Local speedtests give me around 3mbps (congested exchange, so not full speed). Can't even open the international speedtests to check those...
