Maybe should have mentioned, we have a business account. I was under the impression business accounts rarely gets interuptions like this

In that case, drop me your MWEB account details via PM and I will get the relevant department to look into it from their side.

Well, after quite a long while as a happy MWEB 4meg uncapped user, I just received my first warning from [email protected] because apparently my account shows "repeated instances of prolonged download sessions at line, or near line speeds", which is untrue because my account is subject to the same shaping as everyone else. Like right now, for instance, it's averaging 640kbps. What gives, MWEB?

My usage over the last year in MB:
November, 2011 309836.03
October, 2011 476841.29
September, 2011 303958.23
August, 2011 168142.94
July, 2011 238419.39
June, 2011 299353.94
May, 2011 18611.68
April, 2011 132090.72
March, 2011 150005.46
February, 2011 131205.45
January, 2011 339331.50
Average 215170.91

I guess this will be my last month. Thank goodness for competition :D

Please explain when my account shows prolonged downloading at near line speeds during peak times (which I'm guessing is the time when I might be putting undue strain on your network) because my downloads only get anywhere near line speeds during off peak periods. My account is shaped during peak periods and so cannot possibly reach these speeds that you speak of. I know because I monitor my downloads. Surely you're not complaining about my uncapped account downloading at full speed during off peak periods due to the shaping that you administer being relaxed?

I'm confused.

Hi efitol,

I think it's best you email our Abuse department to get clarity.

Twice now in the last half hour the international has gone up and down, like it was earlier

Those techs/engineers seriously need to fix this now

Edit - gone completely now

Hi Guy's,

Please inbox me tracert and ping tests to the international sites you having issues with and include the area you situated.

Also provide the IP address you connecting with.

MWEB Guy

I'm playing DDO, it's a MMORPG, not a site. It's widespread, has been the whole day so I'm not gonna now do a whole lot of tracerts while it's in it's upswing/working phase. There is an issue - please fix it

Streaming 5FM, link breaks every so often /
Fix your **** !

Hi Anthro,

I went to our 384Kbps ADSL test bench and could stream with no issues from start.

DJ Fresh was taking about DJ Kent after 6 mix and where his going to be playing.

I then asked my brother who's at home on a 4Meg line to test and it worked fine there also.

I do recall mentioning to you that the account I have registered under your MyBB name on our side shows that it's not active.

Please provide me with your active MWEB account details.

Regards,

MWEB Guy

Someone at helpdesk phoned me earlier today and said it was a Seacom issue. I think they don't know yet and needed to blame something

Hi suPerb0b,

I don't see any call back logged on your account.

Could you please inbox me the consultants name and I'll investigate further.

Hey Mweb guy
I neglected to take a name this time, but don't stress too much about me. I'll be happy if you manage to figure out what it is and prevent it from happening further.
I didn't bother phoning back as the issue is somewhat inconsistent and wont help if things work fine while I'm on the phone.
