MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Just signed a 4mb uncapped, so far so good, very stable http surfing speed, download can be around 200-300k, i hope it can be last for long, so i dont need to go back to openweb for changing backbone everyweek.

Are you still experiencing higher ping results?

Hi MWEB guy... I am getting high ping results... latency is slow and international sites are espicially slow... are you aware of any existing problems?

Hi Hazard,

Apart from the issues on the notice board, I'm not aware of any other issues.
Please feel from to PM me your trace route results and ping results as well as the ADSL number your are connecting from.
I will then check it my side and keep you posted. ;)
 
I just started my trial account, I have to say, general surfing, youtube, normal http downloading feels much better than the various other accounts I've used.

I hope it stays like this for the rest of my trial, then I may just sign up.
 
Just had Mweb Technical Refresh my session and Telkom reset my port, Internet is stone dead on Mweb?

Changed over to Afrihost account and it works fine?

Mweb what is going on?

Would I be able to cancel my accounts immediately and pro rata refund, under the CPA as i am not getting a proper service for over a week?

Why should i have to stay a extra 30days because of slow throughput, high latency & choppy international.

Spoke to soon Mweb is alive again!!! Who knows..

have the same problem link was fine, this morning, and through the day at 7 it died again, very high latency, plus lately sites like newtorrent.info can be accessed may every 4th day, but if i connect via my phone and mtn it works all the time... So i don't know..
 
Had my account refreshed yesterday - didn't do anything. Ping 214 and 0.59 MB download speed on a 4MB line.

Hi Mweb Guy

Got of the phone 20 min again with one of ur specialist.... We tested everything we could including 3 different routers... The problem still is there, but we locked a call with telkom to have a look at the dslam itself, it seems like the problem is there...

Not a problem at all, currently my connection is running like a dream no problems at all, I will keep u up to date as I get feedback... Lol we were busy on the phone last night for almost a hour...

I've been having a problem with my ADSL for a few weeks now. Download speeds are okay, I normally get about 30kB/s, but my browsing has almost come to a complete standstill. Whenever I try to load any page, I normally have to refresh a few times before it actually loads and then it loads very slowly.

Here's some speedtest results I just did:

Back to slow again, so I phoned telkom again and ask them to recreate my port, and they did, did not work... then i asked them to follow up on my call ref, and guess what the bastards does not even have it on their system, so I went through the pain to log another call again.... so we must just wait and see in which year they will come and test the line properly... I have had no feedback on the call yet that was logged last night, but that was for the exchange itself, so I think i would take a while, If i hear anything I will let u know...

Upload out does download to Mweb speedtest server in JHB on a 4meg uncapped with 4meg line....

I can't access Facebook, google, Mweb, News24.com.

All other sites are working but slow.

Email is not working at all. it also says pop3.mweb.co.za "host could not be found" in outlook.

I have changed to google DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 and same thing.

I have also used my Afrihost account with the same lines and everthing works fine.

Also logged a fault with Telkom and they say my lines are fine.
