MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Hi Everyone,

Our engineers have isolated the problem and services are returning to normal.

We have however picked up that ADSL authentication was also affected so please do not reset your routers if you are currently connected as you may not be able to reconnect.

Regards,

MWEB Guy

Does this only apply to the Cape Town problems?

Edit: Or have I misread your earlier post and the problem could affect non CT people too, the server is just located in CT?

Hi Everyone

Everything seems to be back to normal now and our engineers are monitoring the situation closely. Please let MWEB Guy know if you're still having any problems.

Thanks for keeping the flames to a minimum on a frustrating day :D

Kind Regards
Will

Hi guys,

I have noticed both of you have open logs on the account. I will add the information provided and have the relevant department contact you as soon as there is any feedback.

Same here....

I did log a call with telkom they could not find that much fault with the line that it would behave like this... also Mweb logged a call to see the availability of bandwidth on the note.... had a call from mweb this morning to say a technician will phone me with feedback... still waiting, futher my routers both of them has been defaulted 4 times so cache is not the problem... yet earlier today my link was the best it has been in 2 weeks...

Thanks Mweb guy...

They phoned me this morning and said I will be phoned back with feedback... no phone call yet and that call has been logged a few days again with telkom....

We've been having issues all afternoon (Magoebaskloof, Polokwane). On, off, on, off - solid DSL light. Seems to have come right now.

I must say that for all the ranting and raving about MWeb they've been pretty solid in terms of service since we started using them over a year ago. We have 10 computers connected and rarely do I find a problem with throttling, with superb DL speeds after hours and on the weekends. Just saying...

So Mweb called and they said they tested the line and couldn't find a problem with it.

So I really don't know why I'm having these issues.

What's even stranger is that newsservers are flying, but everything else goes at snail pace. Can't browse properly, have to wait 10 minutes for a youtube video, etc.

Hi Yarik11,

Thanks for the feedback, the log is still open on the system and I will follow up with the relevant department regarding the query.

Hi InnerException

Mine also worked now... My speeds are the same.... for the last week or so now.... and my pings are over 200 ms....

also have a similar problem regarding speed... Just waiting for Telkom to finish testing our exchange so Mweb can have a look....

My internet is also dead slow and Telkom just fixed my line so not Telkom issue. I download @ 50KB/s
