sorry for posting again but my connection is still up with the pppoe connection.. It's only my MWEB account that is intermittent.
You know what. I'm canceling my account. F*** mweb. bunch of idiot's working there. They still say it's my Telkom line. so screw this. Not sitting with this any more. cheers.

I'm having speed issues at the moment in Centurion. It's actually been like this for most of the week.
HTTP downloading is much slower than usual (no simultaneous downloads) and is inconsistent - the speeds drop frequently and then pick up again (to about half of the usual speed if I'm lucky). International sites have been loading slowly. I tried to update a blog yesterday and I was having issues just previewing my post and getting certain things to load so I had to then wait again just so my post would finish saving into a draft so that I could continue on a day where my connection is as it should be. Sometimes I have to refresh a site before it even loads and then when it does, it still loads at a snail's pace.
I turned my modem off for 30 minutes, restarted my PC, scanned for viruses/spyware and nothing came of it. I'm at a loss here.
What is going on? I remember there was an issue recently (not just this past week) where HTTP browsing and downloading was shocking during the week and then it magically sorted itself out by the weekend (and I know I wasn't the only one who experienced that). Do we only get good internet on weekends now?
I'm on the 4mb package and have the appropriate line. Haven't had any issues for months until recently again. What is going on?

yes they are busy testing. I called in this morning and they told me the account has been connected since yesterday @ 4 and no drop on the account. But then explain to me why my internet drops when I have Mweb connected but not when I have Telkom account connected.
And don't you have a temporary account I can use until the testing have been completed.

they are testing my home account. I gave them my username and password. please can you follow up and let them call me ASAP.
